  1. On my MK1 there's an adjustment on the cable underneath the car, roughly in the middle. It's an asy adjustment with 2 spanners and a bit of WD40! Mine needed quite a few turns to get a reasonable brake for MOT and passed no probs :D (apart from the tester saying the rear fogs didn't work when in fact he was turning the fronts on LOL).
  2. I put 18s on my mk1 (Chips's old car!) and the handling (and looks) improved dramatically. It used to be a bit boat like on the standard balloons! I found they made the ride very slightly more bumpy down the country roads but on mains and motorways it made no difference. I would choose 18s again but perhaps 17s are a better choice for extra comfort! Hope you enjoy your LS as much as me!!!
  3. You're probably best off buying the parts and getting a decent local garage to fit them for you. I need to get some new disks and pads and was thinking of ordering from atozmotors.co.uk as they are half the price of Halfords but not used them before so don't know quality (they say they're Mintex so should be fine!) Suspension parts seem best to order from the US. Search the forum for Sewells and Olympus. Stock up on oil and air filters when you order!!! Uprated suspension is available but i think they will lower the car slightly and might sacrifice the ride quality.
