  1. one thing is that you dont need the cambelt doing til 100k. i had mine done just before 70k and all i needed was some pads and discs, still set me back like 400 quid
  2. ive got the same probs, the garage said it was the brakes bedding in but surely nt after 4 months. i had another garage look at them as my nooise comes from applying the brakes going forwards. they said the pins needed re greasing. all was well til a week later and th noises are creeping back in. i hope to *** i dont need new calipers as tehy are said to be expensive.
  3. nice white colour, keep it t cut n waxed for the summer, welcome to LOC
  4. yeh it does look great low at the back. you do feel bumps but i dont mind that. must admit it cost a bit fitting them, wish i had the know how ..
  5. can you not walk into lexus and buy them? i dont have one near by and fancy just popping down tomorrow to lex newc as im in the region
  6. sorry not been around fro a while, yeh i will put up some pics in the near future. ive been trying to source my next car :-) i still need a paint pen, can you walk into lexus and buy these things or do u have to order them?
  7. Thought I would spruce up my paintwork with all the glorious weather we are having. Gave her a metallic t cut then applied sum P21's carnauba wax. I was like OMG this stuff is amazing. no white chalky effect easy glide on buff off and the paintwork well it was like showroom shine if not better. well recommended. and not too bad for 20 quid
  8. hey chandru, the car doesnt feel any worse than what it did before, it ges round corners just as well. its mainly asthetics. im happy with them
  9. that sounds about right i paid the same at a non lexus garage, *** knows what lexus whould have charged me. i had discs and pads fitted too
  10. i really want a supra next but i want to get the house sorted first, raykhan what IS you looking for and how much? lol ahhhhhh the temptation
  11. Right well after much debate im going to keep the lexi for at least another year whilst i the the house sorted. I really cant sell her, such a nice car. Has anyone else had temptations to sell up?
  12. £6 wow thats cheap i need to get onto mr L then soonest. thanks for the replies. i think i can afford to keep the finger now :-)
  13. anyone know that cost of one, im sure if i get it from mr lexus it will cost me an arm at least
  14. does anyone know where i could get a stick or pen that could be used to fill in those unslightly chips that have started to appear on the beloved strathcarron blue IS. I want to t-cut it then fill them in because i have just got some P21s carnauba wax that i'm itching to use on it. cheers in advance, ps if you know the store and price that would be helpful too or website addy :-)
  15. have a look at my site, i have added pics now of my car post fitting tein s type springs, i need to do some more as they have lowered a little more after settling but it gives you an idea My Webpage
  16. my last service cost around 400 quid, get sparks yourself or they will charge you nearly a tenner each. that 60 quid straight away. i had new brakes on which bumped up the price. any non lexus garage should be able to sort you out for around 200-250
  17. looks vaguely like a very old gs.. puzzling i really hope no one falls for it
  18. the insurance costs are about 700 for an n/a and 780 for tt for me. my lexi costs 400 at the moment. im just toying with ideas as im getting the itch to get something new. Ive kept an eye open for altezza but there arent any nice ones around for sale at the moment, the ones on autotrader look rubbish. I know the supras are older but so was my MR2 and I think i should never have part ex'd her. ooohhh the dilemma
  19. by down sizing, i mean buying something cheaper. i can get one for around 5k for an n/a. that will give me 2k ish to blow on the house. runnning costs arent too much of an issue as i get mileage allownace to and from work, plus the 153bhp is starting to get boring. like i say its a bad time as i love it
  20. i have teins on mine, they look great, no probs but have to be careful with road bumps. fitting will be 5 hours labour
  21. Due to the purchase of a house it looks doubtful that i will be abel to keep my beloved is200 se will be coming available around june when my insurance expires pm me for more info if anyone is interested. hopefully i will be staying with toyotas as i have had no major troubles for the last 6 years of driving them. possible downsizing to a supra :-)
  22. got exactly the same probs, mines started since i got new rubber for the wheels. dont know how that would effect the brakes. sounds awful. i got new pads about 2 months ago i may pay the garage a visit to see if anything has warped or moved. does anyone think that the new sprigs could pose such a problem?
