  1. The discs have been skimmed and its staring to judder again but only slightly.
  2. I do sit at lights with brakes on but surley it would not warp them 4 times. I dont really drive the car hard and really do feel as if i have bedded discs in. I cant help braking as its all part of driving and i think i would have morre to worry baout if i didnt use them
  3. The sad thing is mate I dont want to buy any other car apart from a lexus but im getting know joy from them or head office and I really cant afford to replace any more parts on it. I feel that if I do get a volvo then I will have to find a nice pipe and slippers to fit in with it.
  4. I was going to put a deposit down on a new is250 but somhow I dont think I will bother. I called Lexus head office earlier and spoke to there head of customer services - Emma Thompson and she informed me its out of warranty and your more than welcome to throw money down the drain as we can not help you with you wobbly car. What would have been nice was if they could have come up with a answer as to whats causing the problem. The IS Range have had a couple of problems such as brake pads rattling around and also ripping the **** out of tyres due to bad camber. My lexus garage even told me its a common fault but hey ***** we dont want to know. I have been looking at a brand new volvo s40 t5 and i think i will go and spend £25,000 with them instead. Im one very unhappy customer and Volvo here I come.
  5. Maybe I shouldnt use the brakes at all and then they wont warp. ;)
  6. Brake discs warping and sick of replacing them I have had this problem now for over a year and sick of spending cash on new discs for my Lexus IS 300. I have just replaced front discs and also new calipers as both were not working correctly but I still have wheel judder when braking. I have also noticed that it seems to judder at speeds between 60 to 80 and get a feeling it s now constant but I can only feel at at certain speeds.. Im taking it to Lexus tomorrow but I get the feeling they will say its cheap discs and that they want put theres on at a cost of nearly £500 including pads but the discs i have been putting on are good quality and not cheap crap. Does anyone have any ideas as its annoying the **** out of me and I just want to get back to enjoying driving my Lexus Thanks TODAYS NEWS Still trying to cure the fault on my Lexus IS 300 and we are no closer to rectifying what the problem is. Lexus Bradford seem to think its the wheel bearing but they wont guarattee it and expect me to spend £500 on replacing them. They have also said i should replace the discs with lexus ones and pads costing another £556. This could go on for ages and the costs are spiraling out of my pocket. Sureley if you take your car to a garage then they should be able to tell you whats causing the problem and not a guesstimate.
  7. Is this a common fault on Lexus is range. I will be calling lexus head office to see if they can help. Might be a good idea if you also give them a bell
  8. Lexus have skimmed the discs and balanced all wheels but i can still feel it slightly. Im coming to the end of my tether with it so will Wheels Inmation be able to give me a deffinate answer as to whats causing the problem with my lexus. Thanks
  9. They also want skim discs and do tracking but even then what if this does not salve the problem. I dont mind paying the cash as long as it sorts the problem. I do however begrudge paying the money out and going back a week later with the same problem. Surely if I take my car in they should be able to tell me whats wrong with it rather than guess work. I could end up paying **** loads of cash and was hoping to order a new Lexus is 250 rather than spend it all on my is 300
  10. Just been to Lexus and they have told me they think its the bearings on the front passenger side of is 300. Now this is the problem they cant gaurantee that its the bearings and going throught a process of illimination. This is fine but they want to charge me £500 to do this and even then i might have the same problem. Any suggestions
  11. It seems to get worse under heavy breaking and when the discs are hot but it could also be the balancing. Im taking the car in tomorrow so i will keep you posted as to what the problem is
  12. My second set of discs were mintex and they also warped. Lexus will have to deal with the problem but im not replacing discs again as this set have been on 2 weeks and are brand new
  13. Not sure what make they were as they were replaced under warranty but they were purchased at kwik fit and cost £170 fitted. The manager has been trying to solve the problem with the brake judder but he wont replace anymore as he thinks its something else thats causing the problem. The first 2 sets were fitted by Lexus but i refuse to pay silly money and then went to kwik fit as they were cheaper. I dont really think its the discs to be honest and think its something else thats causing the problem
