You could do and it would work, but it will cost a packet.
See if you can get one from ebay or a second hand one from somewhere may be a scrap dealer.
I got mine second hand for £100
Hi, assuming it is the CD version then the sat nav drive is the one in the boot under the carpet, RHS as looking from the back of the car. It is simple to change I think 3 screws and some plugs.
Yes, simply changed the CD drive unit from a written off IS200, all plugs are the same, very quick job even the jap remote has colour coded buttons so no need to learn Japanese.
Have tried ebay no go for disk, will have to go to Lexus.
Thanks.
Does anyone now how to replace the useless 6 cd changer stereo unit (ERR3 version slot in bottom) with the later 6 CD changer stero unit post 2001 (slot in top) ?? I now the plugs are different but I can not find a wiring diagram. I have a 2000 RS200.
Should be no problem with the mechanics, I have had the unit out and Iam assuming the newer version will mechanically fit, it's the wiring I need help with.
If anyone can help thanks in advance !!!!!!!!
Presumably the disk drive, and monitor will be common.
I'm guessing there is a seperate control module.
Any ideas how much for this new ?? If not I will ask Toyota.
Guys,
Just picked up on this thread.
I have the original sat nav system in my RS200, has anyone looked into what hardware would need to be changed to get it working in the UK ??
TIA.
Thanks,
Yes I bought a set of IS200 rear shocks and fitted then yesterday they were an exact match.
They cured the problem at last.
Sqeak free motoring, wonderfull !!
Guys,
I have just found the cause of my rear end squeek it is both rear shocks.
Just before they took me away in a jacket !!
I want to re fit standard shocks to the tezza, can I use standard is200 parts or are the RS200 special ?
Thanks !!
Many thanks gents, most appreciated.
I don't have coilovers yet.
Mac do you mean the top of the coil/damper mount in the boot. How did you get the oil in there, did you take the mounting nuts off in the boot ?
When you say strut, excuse my ignorance but what exactly do you mean ?
