  1. Could someone be kind and let me know if the top strut(rear) mounting nuts are in the boot or do I have to take the back seat out? Thanks Clive Autotech Cheshire UK
  2. Had it on a Merc once, in fact it did it all the time but started like yours. It was simply a buid up of crap on one ABS sensor. I just cleaned it all off. It was fine Cheers Clive Autotech Cheshire UK
  3. Pleasure, sorry they weren't better quality Cheers Clive
  4. This post was for me(Thanks Roy) This is a 91 model with changer in the boot. Door opened OK but cartridge was well stuck.I removed the whole changer unit (only 4 bolts and two plugs) Took off both top and side covers twisted the securing tabs for the top board, lifted this clear and then turned white plastic wheel I could see through casing slot. This wound the cartridge out OK. Just put very small amount of oil on the end of long screwdriver and oiled sliding points and mechanism and re-assembled. Now works fine. There are a few pics here if anyone is interested. Quality not too good! :D http://www.streamload.com/csturnbull/cd_changer
  5. I am trying to locate a display unit for the clock and temp(I think) for a 1991 LS400. I have priced a new one at £350 plus vat but the owner has asked me to shop around for an alternative source. Can anyone suggest dealer in used Lexus parts? Thanks Clive UK Autotech csturnbull@dsl.pipex.com PS I was impressed by the ability to purchase all brake caliper parts separately for this model. Rare nowadays!
  6. Can anyone let me know if brake caliper overhaul kits are available or is it a case of "Fit New" when they become seized? I am a long standing fully qualified tech so I do know the "Ins & Outs" of caliper stripping. My customers car spend long periods without use and has caliper seizing problems due to perished dust seals. Thanks in anticipation Clive
