  1. Not too sure on prices for the servicing, sorry. If you send a PM to Admin with regards to the trouble you're having getting into the Gold forums, I'm sure it'll be sorted out quite quickly.
  2. Gold members get discounts of anywhere between 10 and 20% at participating dealers ces. You need to join GOLD to get a full list of benefits/discounts, but they are far more outreaching than just dealer discounts and include; club insurance schemes, discounts on tyres, discounts on audio/visual etc etc. Most (if not all) make back their cost of joining with the first purchase they make, be that at a dealer or not. Hope this is helpful in your decision to join Gold or not
  3. Westwood is a 'BIG DOG' who's 'GOIN DOWN' :duh: Would be loads better if he wasn't presenting, he is soooo irritating. I can't think of him as 'gangsta' knowing his dad is/was a vicar and little Tim didn't grow up in 'the hood'. Bloke is a berk, I much prefer the US version
  4. That's good news about it passing. Mine's got to be MOT'd by the end of the month. Am praying (in earnest) that it passes!
  5. Well done on keeping the Lex... if the worst ever happened to me and my hubby, he could keep the house if I could keep the car!!!
  6. Yes mate LOC is worldwide. But my thinking goes that maybe potential members see our promos and log onto the US site and get no further e.g don't find LOC UK. ← If you click on LexusOwnersClub.com, it still takes you to the same site as you see here - it's just got options to pick UK, Europe or US pages. Using .com as well as .co.uk just means we cover all bases and helps people find us :)
  7. It'll be promoting the Club so I don't forsee any issues RED-EYE Cheers, Claire
  8. I went from the IS200 Sport to a 99 model GS300 Sport. It was the perfect combination for me as I wanted the looks and needed the size. It's my version of a sensible family car! I thought I'd find the GS harder to park than the IS, but it's amazing how quickly you get used to the size, and it's really never been a problem. It provides a great drive although as has been said, if you want to fling around corners, it won't be the car for you. The majority of my driving is in-town which pushes the petrol consumption up, but I find it worth it as I like the comfort relating to an auto. On the odd-long haul motorway drives I do, I get out the other side still feeling refreshed as if I've had a quick drive to the shops. I think the majority of the plus points have been covered but for me now, the GS wins over the IS hands down. It's a good combination of luxury and looks and suits my family needs (although the sport being slightly lower can be a pain in the bum - I grounded my car on my grandparent's steep drive and the car is now relegated to the road when I visit them!)
  9. Perhaps the oomph factor was down to my heavy right foot!!!
  10. Before I got my GS, I had an IS200 Sport. The main differences are that it's slightly lowered, has a little bit more oomph, and has the lip boot spoiler, tinted back windows and metal plate pedals. I'm sure I've forgotten loads, so stand to be corrected! I preferred the look of the sport so went for that. I guess it's very much dependant on your personal tastes, so you should try and test-drive both to make a decision
  11. My folks have bought a PC direct from Dell. These links might be useful: http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs Dell Outlet for refurbed computers: http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/default....c=uk&l=en&s=dfo
  12. I can't make it this year, have fun all!
  13. Can't follow that generosity unfortunately, but please put me down for a tenner. Thanks and good luck
  14. Nope, not any more, as soon as the pen hits the paper, you're had I'm afraid
  15. I find it brilliant for what I call a 'maintenance' wash. Realistically I can't always spend a couple of hours on cleaning the car every week (and I do wash it every week!), so this is great for a fairly quick wash. I think it will come in to its own over winter months too. As long as you replace the cartridge as needed (which depends on how often you wash your car and how hard the water is in your area), then you get a good finish. I never get dodgy water marks on my car - I just make sure I go over the car a couple of times with the last step. Reckon it's worth the cash if you don't always have a lot of time to spend on cleaning the car.
  16. It's really a midge, it's just got carried away with modifications!!!
  17. Congratulations, chuffed for you! Onwards and upwards eh!
  18. Well, I've got a GS300 Sport and last time I looked I was a girlie :P :D
  19. Contact Prolex-UK, he was a star in helping me get a new caliper for my GS
  20. It's a terrible, terrible state of affairs. Just makes you want to hold your loved ones that bit closer.
