  1. don't suppose u could get a pic of it so i could have a gander?? what colour did you go for and was it from the same dealer, coz it says will only post to US????!!!
  2. lol, there's always swings and roundabouts with everything in life!!!! how does the adapter screw work. i thought you literally just screwed the new aerial in and....voila. if i was going to go for the second example, what length would you recommend (i'm sure the longer the aerial, the better the reception???). i guess if the reception on either aerial proves to be painful, i could always switch them back again!!!! anybody got any pics of after market aerials fitted??????
  3. just been looking on ebay....found a couple i'm interested in. thought i'd post the links here and ask for any opinions (its going on a pearlescent white IS200) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS-ALTEZ...998649439QQrdZ1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-54-ANTENN...998151279QQrdZ1 not sure how u add a link, but i just copied and pasted the http.
  4. search on "Lexus antenna" there are 000's of them! ← cheers, i'll get on the case. thanks for all your help so far fella :D :D :D
  5. i'm amazed, i spent an hour last night looking and couldn't find anythin!!!! was searching for 'lexus IS200 short aerial' and all i got was rubbish!!! oh well, thanks anyway for the link. think i'd prefer it in silver/aluminium, so might have to keep looking.
  6. hi one and all. i'm after a short aerial for my IS200 (preferably in silver or black), but am not sure where to find one. i've looked on ebay but didn't find anything that i thought would fit (not sure i'm searching for the right thing to be fair though). once i buy the new aerial, is it a case of unscrew the old and screw in the new?? any help appreciated.
  7. Yes, the come singly so buy two........dead easy, just remove the rear cluster (2 screws), plug & play :D ← just had a quick look at the rear clusters and am not sure what screws to remove. from what i can see there are to screw covers to the side of each cluster. do i simply remove the covers/caps, unscrew the screws and the whole light cluster should come out? i'm suprised that its only those two screws that hold it all in place. not really mechanically minded so i'm sorry if this is a real dumb question
  8. hiya and welcome to the club. to be honest with you, although the navman's are good. i really think you should take a look at the new Tomtom Go 700. its and awesome bit of kit and well worth the money. i have one running in my IS and have maps of the entire USA and Europe. no external GPS reciever is required and the battery life is exceptional (good for portability if out of the car). but either way, sat nav is defiitely a great addition to any car!!!!!!!!1
  9. and here for the blue bulbs: Prolarg 7440 blue bulbs ← cheers mr morse, take it i need to order two of these as they don't come in a pair? they should be easy to fit myself right?
  10. had mine since easter (bought it from the states). awesome bit of kit and especially good that you can connect to a wireless internet browser. game sharing option is useful but they're arn't many games for this function yet. would definitely recommend need for speed underground-superb graphics and game-play. BUT...........much prefer my lexxxxxx!!!!!!!!!
  11. ok, could you point me in the right direction of these blue reverse bulbs?? how much am i looking at for a complete HID conversion (inc. bulbs and fitting)?
  12. what about main headlights (not full beam) and reversing lights. what can you reccomend for them to give a similar 'eye-catching effect.' and what are the bulb types that i require? cheers for all the posts so far.
  13. welcome to LOC mate, gotta get some pics up ASAP!!!! :) :P :)
  14. Easiest mod you can make - open the bonnet, remove the bulb holder by twisting 1/3d turn, remove bulb, plug & play. Remember that LEDs are polarity sensitive so if they don't work first time just put the bulb the other way around. ← great, thanks for your help. would you reccomend them then? will they be noticibly different to the stock one's i have now?
  15. one more thing i might add....i've been looking into the 6-LED side light bulbs (10mm wedge 501's), probably the ice blue/white (similar to those that Mr Morse suggested). are they easy to fit myself???? if so, how do i go about it. sorry if its a stupid question, but never done anythin to my lex as only had it a matter of weeks. thanks for any help guys
  16. just wondered if there were any IS 200 owners in the lufbra area???? maybe we should have a meet one evenin?????? any thoughts/comments welcome
  17. Yep get the front windows tinted. Only £60 from TintR in Nottingham. Top job aswell. makes a huge difference. Also a Sport grill is a MUST! Bit pricey to buy new but keep popping up on ebay now and again. Changes the whole look of the front end. ← will be in contact with them shortly regarding the front window tints. i definitely think the full set of tinted windows will look great against the white car!!! don't suppose you've got any pics of what it would look like with the sport grill fitted (on a pearlescent white IS, if possible)???
  18. just another thing i thought i'd mention.....the car is pearlescent white and i'm not sure what colour coding i should go for. definitely gonna get the calipers painted in the next couple of weeks (was thinking silver, with black caliper stickers.....what u all think??? any pics of white IS200 with painted calipers). also, should i then go for a silver antenna stalk? what about clear rear fogs, or will they just be lost with the colour of the car. thanks for your help so far guys
  19. was thinking about the blue reverse bulbs-do they look a lot different to standard issue bulbs and are they road legal/MOT passable? not really a big issue, but just wondered anyway
  20. some good ideas there, any info on where i can get all this stuff from at decent prices? could i do all of it myself?
  21. don't wanna spend too much over the £100 mark (per mod) quite yet, as i've only had the car a couple of weeks. i wanna visually enhance it a little, both inside and out. like the idea of darkening the front 2 windows, but dont think thats gonna enhance it too much. keep throwing your ideas at me guys. cheers
  22. havn't got the cd's to hand at the minute but i'm sure that they're standard cd-r's. i just burn them using the standard speed on my computer (not really too sure how you can slow this down as computers arn't really my thing). i've never had any problems in any other cd playing system i have - that's what i cant figure out!!!
  23. just wondered if anyone could help!!?? i've been trying to play various cd's on the standard cd player in my 2000 IS200 sport, but i've found that only some of them will play. the others just play at a really fast pace (as if they're in fast forward mode)!! all original cd's seem to work fine so far, but some of the copied cd's are problematic!!! anyone know why this is???? and what can i do to resolve it?? cheers guys
  24. thanks for your suggestion in fitting the exhaust, its a beauty!!!! initially, though, i was thinking of some smaller mods that i could look into. some that are a real nice touch and visually enhance the car (inside and out). ANY IDEAS???????????
  25. Hi all. just got my 2000 IS200 Sport (pearlescent white) about a month ago. since then i've been thinking about adding some nice little touches/mods, but not really too sure where to start. thought i'd ask you guys for some ideas. at the minute the budget is restricted, so can't do the big fancy mod's quite yet. what can you all reccomend????? one other question is, if i was going to get the calipers coloured, should i pre-order them painted or is it a job that i could do myself with some caliper paint????? thanks for any help you can provide
