    Hi all, apologies if this is not in the write area i have a 99 IS200 Sport and was wondering if you culd give me some advice as to where i could get a good phone kit and or/ I pod kit installed in my car and also give a rough idea to pricing. thanks

    Apologies for my lack of techical nouce but here goes anyway, The rear calipers on my car and everything that is attached behind the wheel at the rear is v rusty. Can you suggest anything that will make it look better for example is there paing you can buy etc?

    Had mine replaced on monday at halfords was £55 incliding fitting, save yourself a fiver and fit it yourself, i just couldnt b arsed. the battery also comes with a 4 yr warrenty which aint bad. apparently halfords or there subsiduary company now supply batterys to many manufacturers for new production models.

    Hey guys, jus need some info on my lex. past day or two when starting my lex it sounds when turning over that its not goin to start, but it always seems to (fingers crossed). i am unsure as to wether the battery needs replacing or according to my mate u have to put distilled water in the battery, which ive never heard of before and that could be what it is. just want to know what u guys think? also when im off and running the engine seems a bit sluggish till it warms up. is this just due to the cold? cheers all and happy motoring

    Hi, i have a 98 T Reg, how long is it under warrenty for. My screen as of late has started to turn a dark purple colour, im not technically minded so i dare not start messing around cleaning cables etc. i opted for a different approach, i whacked the back of the screen and wiggled it around and it seems to have solved the problem for the time being. also where is the cd for the sat nav stored because every now and again i get CD-Rom unreadable message albeit it is v rarely happens

    :D jus booked friday off work so no need to get the car out if it snows! I live in sheffield and have to travel to chesterfield to work through country lanes which has lots of hills! i fear insurance claims my be on the cards at somepoint during the winter! HEHE :P ← Shoulda booked in with a sickie ! You could have said you have snowitis or something ← :D

    From what I've read in the previous posts - it lights up and puts the word snow on your display ! ← :D :D I actually have 2 winter tyres that will fit my Lex, do you think it would be ok to fit them to my rear wheels and leave my pilot sports on the front?

    So according to the weather forecast there is a good chance of snow on friday and saturday, from what ive read on the IS200 it is really quite pants in the snow. Is it really as bad as what people say? ive only had my IS 3 weeks now so i have never driven it in the snow before and dont really know its full handling capabilites. What exactly does the snow button do in the car?

    My mate fitted one to his Golf Gti, myself i would be a bit warey, but he took the chance and his works fine.

    Just a big thumbs up to Lexus Sheffied. took my IS there on saturday to have the batteries replaced in one of my keys as i could not get the back off as the small screw head was damaged. Popped in and were great help, they charge £5 per key, but he charged my £5 to changes all three key batteries and ordered me a front fog light bulb free of charge. Keep up the good work

    Hi all, Picked up my IS200 sport last mon and loving it, Just a quick question, the car is currently on 92K and had its cam belt changed by lexus at 90k via the previous owners request. i know the service is a while off but i want to what the cost will roughly be at the 100k service without the cambelt change so i can start saving up in advance ive had a quick search but couldnt find a cost of 100k service without cam belt change. thanks all

    Sorry for the cr*p thread but i am down to only one key now for my car as the other two batterys have gone in the key. its a daft question but wheres the best place to get replacment batterys and can you fit them yourself? cheers all

    pick up a 99 plate platinum is200 sport tomorrow. just done 90k on the clock just had service done and timing belt changed. 12 months mot and tax, full lexus service history with reciepts sat nav black leather n suede interior. cost me £6250 really happy with it jus one quick question, i forgot to ask all the questions about the sat nav although i know its in working order. is there a yearly subscription fee to pay or anything? thanks dan

    Hey all, ive been scouting around on here for a while now and i know you guys are really helpful. as of yet ive not got an IS200 but hopefully should be a proud owner in a week or 2. i was just wondering how many miles are well looked after cars good for. As im only able to afford high milage cars say 80k plus. im just curious as i dont want it to pack up on me after a few thousand k's. Im sure they will go on forever (dad has an LS400 with 165k on clock) being a lexus but i thought id just ask for your guys opinons. Thanks

    Not as far as i am aware, i went to look at that exact the other day. Really nice motor opted to get one with a lower milage.
