  1. Yeh i can remember the first ones being shocking, i think the ones within budget are the updated ones before the freelander 2. Not sure if they were just given a face lift, or structurally improved too.
  2. My dads taken a fancy to them for some reason and is looking at getting one. With his budget it looks like he can get a 54/55 plate car. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of them, they seem to get a mixed review from the usual places, whatcar et al. I know there are other options, but he seems set on one of these. Looked at the others, X-Trail doesn't like the look of, Honda CR-V is a poss, but a bit bland and RAV-4 is a no no.
  3. Not in the market for a car now, but i may go and have a snoop round on Monday at lunch, persuade my dad to pick on up at that price.
  4. wow, its fairly reputable dealer too. It's about 5 mins from where i work.
  5. In my personal opinion id rather get one thats done say 100k + and been serviced and recently had a cambelt change rather than get say one of 70k, knowing full well your gonna have to fork out a bit in a few thousand miles.
  6. its a nightmare trying to sell phones on ebay, i had to relist mine 5 times before i eventually got rid of it. Everytime someone would put in a stupid bit, win the auction, them email me with some sob story about how they were buying this for a relative in Nigera who had been run over by a horse then knocked over by a bus etc etc... My friend recently had the same problem, he actually bought one of those fake turds and stuck a label on it saying Nokia, then posted it to Lagos in Nigeria :D
  7. I often see F1 CAR in and around Sheffield. Its on a VW Bora. The chap who owns it is in his mid twenties and was tipped to be an F1 driver. In his stupidity, he got caught for a serious motoring offense and subsequently lost his license. I can't remember if it was death by dangerous driving, or something of that ilk where it was a serious accident, but the passengers in the other car were not killed.
  8. Where i go to the Gym, they have the plate 3C. The car its on is a mark 1 Renault Clio
  9. I'm on it, only been on a couple of times. I think it has good potential. From what i've seen though, all the people stalk the one female thats online, like flys round s**t. i imagine its as close as nerds get to a real girl :D
  10. i was thinking of a different kind of flange at first :D
  11. You'll be fine with a US ipod, i used to have one. I was in the US last october and even with the superior wxchange rate, when i changed my money in July, there wasnt that much of a difference in price
  12. Xbox: swfcdan PS3: chrisakabusi i only have cod 5 on PS3
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus-IS-F-...5fCarsQ5fTrucks I WANT!
  14. take the leap and change mate! I debated so much, when recently changing my car as i loved my IS. Now i've took the plunge so to speak, i dont regret my decision at all.
  15. dont know what your budget is, but my mum has a 58 plate, Merc A Class and its a great little car. i'm 6"3' and i find there is bags of room, both in the front and rear of the car. You get decent kit as standard now days too. It's good to drive, looks good and has decent economy.
  16. isnt this a repeat of last weeks?
  17. When i picked up my new car last week i was talking to the chap at my local Mercedes dealership and he was saying they have taken an approach of listing there cars at near rock bottom prices with minimal room for negotiation as they would rather be turning over cars with a small profit than having cars sat on the forecourt for months. I'm not sure how much of a white lie he was telling, but to be fair they had a lot of cars marked as sold and when i went in the back to sign the paperwork, the salesmens charts of cars sold was really brimming. So it looks like their policy is working
  18. I already understand to a certain extent, I see lots of people playing with phones on the tube, but the iPhone's the only one I really want every time I see people dragging their fingers across every which way and it responding effortlessly............I'm just worried that once that initial excitement wears off, the actual device features will let me down and get very frustrating. To be honest, it really depends on what your using if for. If your a fairly casual user i'd say go for the iPhone, but if you need a good camera etc, stay away! Having said that the camera isn't all that bad providing you have decent light. For me personally, ive had mine since the new 3G came out and whilst the initial novelty has worn off, i still enjoy using it. I'm hooked on the game 'Enigmo' at the moment. I think the novelty of all phones wears off after a few months, but even so i still find (FOR ME), the iPhone to be a really capable phone.
  19. Quite bad up my end, managed to get to work, all be it a little late. The Lexus coped suprisingly well. We've bought loads of crates of beer for the xmas period, so i chucked them in the boot to add some weight over the rear wheels. Seemed to do the trick. Plus, if i do get stuck at least i can have a good time :D
  20. old post! Yeh we fixed it, cant remember how much the speaker was, but it was a pretty straightforward job.
