  2. The switch is at the front of air box just make sure its pushed right in . As Colin said check that there are no air locks
  3. Check the switch in the air filter body make sure it is seated properly that's what mine was after cambelt change
  4. My car has been like that since I bought it Severn years ago
  5. Mine is a 2007 model but pre face lift but I agree I still like the look of the is200 best that's one of the reasons I kept the old girl. Im not a big fan of the latest model either but the ally body car has corrosion issues .
  6. Asharb 123 you are right poor quality materials the xj are made from aluminium the whole body and a lot of it's parts. Don't like the look of the xf . Yes noby76 your right the performance is fantastic try running one of these if you have a heavy right foot makes the IS200 look fugal lol
  7. Rear ISO seat covers ,brake pipes, bonnet switch other little jobs the only thing that's I've needed to replace on my is 200 was a shock absorber and that only had a mist of oil on It could have wiped it off for the mot . Don't get me wrong the jags a great car has all the toys but the build quality is not up to the is 200
  8. Hi here's a quick update had the jag about four months now and it has cost me more in parts than my is200 in Seven years that's build quality for you and I'm not talking about normal service items just repairs
  9. What does the temp gauge read when driving
  10. Hi if you let the car just run and the fan kicks in does the heater get hotter . Also when you turn the fan on does the heater loose the heat after a little while
  11. Mine come off and I just used some silicone mastic
  12. If it snows leave it on the drive why risk a accident for a couple of days of snow it may not be you but someone else who can't drive or has never driven in the snow
  13. Nice one hopefully this will help people thinking about doing this job a little help like that goes a long way
  14. Hi short fuse maybe do a little write up to help members do the job sometimes it's just that little bit of guidence you need to do the job
  15. Apparently you can take the heater matrix out by removing the clutch pedal someone on here as done it about a two hour job
  16. Well done I was lead to believe it was a dash out job
  17. Just been out in mine after driving my xjr loved it it's just so much more nimble around town
  18. Hi if you have power Check the earth on the mirror system
  19. Hi just a update I have been in contact with someone else on this forum who has a jag R version and he has also said how he still loves his IS . Even though the price when new was worlds apart that's why I will keep my IS don't get me wrong the jag is a fantastic car but my IS (which I've had for seven year now ) is just like a old friend
  20. Hi thanks for reply I started a thread a little while back about comparing the IS to other cars and I have found that the IS can hold its own against much more expensive and newer cars . The power of the R jags is very nice but when you take the overall package the Lexus IS 200/300 is surprisingly close in my opinion and like you the IS is staying as my wife absolutely loves it and if she's happy everyone is happy.
  21. Hi don't know why it starts when the temp is above 12 c it could be that seal or part contracts when cold to allow air in also does the is220 have pre heat plugs . You say that the engine won't turn over after the third attempt this sounds like a bad battery
  22. Yes that's quite a run out did you check after you fitted the new hub
