  1. oh ffs - at least make an attempt to stay on topic.
  2. the fog lights dont come on with the auto headlights. you have to turn them on yourself
  3. can you let me know if you hear back from him? I am having REAL difficulty getting in touch with him by email
  4. they may be road legal - but they are summer / bone dry road tyres if I've ever seen them.
  5. I dont think shopping lists look good on ANY cars - dont think a Lexus will be any different. I gonna try and grow another thumb, so I can give this idea 3 thumbs down
  6. okay - there is a grey plastic cover over where the bulb goes - I cannot get it to open. Have tried turning it anticlockwise (as it says on the cover), and it wont open. No visible screws / connectors seem to be holding it in place. Anyone have any ideas?
  7. it was only £137 from Lexus (including VAT). not following that digram right now - have to have a look at the car in daylight
  8. The drivers side bulb went on my car the other day. Picked a replacement up this evening from Lexus Chester - but its was too dark to even look at fitting it. Anyone changed one of these? Easy to do? Any gotchas?
  9. I dont wish to appear unsympathetic - simply impartial. but - the photos you published of the accident dont match your diagram. Your digram shows you very much hitting the car on the corner, before the car has left the juntion. Your photos show your skid marks going past the end of the junction, and the damage to the BMW looks much more like you went into the back of the BMW - not the corner. And traditionally, if you crash into the back of someone, it considered to be your fault It could well be that on reflection, he's thinking that as you went into the back of him - he can go for the "not my fault" angle, especially as it will boil down to his word against yours. Sorry - I honestly hope this goes well for you - I'm just offering an impartial view of what can be seen
  10. its the vaistech unit I have in my GS430 in the thread RachelsDad is referring to
  11. I dont know Roland I have told the supplier there is interest in this, and he does want to run a group buy - but I've not heard from him for a few days now I'll email him now
  12. I have a ipod unit in my GS430. I shall be launching a group buy on these very soon. Ipod hidden in the glovebox (hanging out for illustration purposes only - it fits much better than that) Uses MD emulation to display song, playlist, artist and album information on the OEM screen. the unit integrates flawlessly into the standard Lexus stereo. The ipod can be controlled using the touch screen, or the steering wheel controls. I love it - it is a fantastic unit. Utterly stealth - there is no sign of the ipod anywhere, and you control it just like you would any other audio device.
  13. we are doing a deal with them on price - ie a "Group Buy". we (as members) buy X amount of units - and we get a discount on the price.
  14. if you were a gold member, you could have got those tyres for £87 each with this discount :)
  15. no - you are not a gold member. so your advertising post was removed. simple
  16. I think the P-Zero's are the problem. I was getting loads of rear wheel spin with those, even in slightly damp conditions. Changed em for Eagle F1's - not had those problems since. Not driven in the snow with them though. Yes - it was that bad Brett, but then again, this is a reasonably powerful, rear wheel drive car, on big, wide, low profile summer tyres - not the best combination for driving in the snow.
  17. certain that is actually Gavin's (bam-bam) car - posted earlier in the thread?
  18. yeah - it snowed by us on Xmas Day last year. Had to get up a pretty tame incline, and anything but the slightest touch on the accelerator and the rear wheels would slip, and the back end start to slide. Good job it was Xmas - so there was nothing on the road behind me as I ever so slowly chugged up the hill, with the car practically on tick over My fingers are crossed that the weather clears enough for a safe trip back :)
  19. beaten like a red headed step child Zee :P
  20. hehehe - bet the 430 stayed at the kerb for a while in that weather! :D
  21. this is a very common problem. many people simply paint their calipers with hammerite. its cheap and very easy - use a wire brush to remove the surface rust and wipe clean using something like isopropyl alchohol, and paint. depending on the colour you use - it can look good too. If you like - the club has Lexus caliper stickers which you can apply once the paint has dried (simply apply some heat resistant clear laquer on top).
  22. have really blurry memories of there :duh: :duh: barman was a friend of a friend - we spent quite a few nights in there and always left very drunk (usually in the direction of Brick Lane :D ) Try and get upstairs if you can (if its not a private affair) - its a bit quieter and more refined, less of a cattle market - and much more chance of being served
  23. I have the vaistech unit in my car - posted some pics in gold and in a recent GS thread. Shall be running a group buy for these shortly - so keep your eyes peeled B)
