  1. the starting point for this "vision" is a free car? and you think its only going to take 5 years?
  2. Its TRUE!!! that I've had enough of the homophobia.
  3. thats simple mathematics. learned it when I was about 12 I think.
  4. mathematically, (where x=the "tens" part of the number and y=the "ones") 10x + y - (x+y) simple algebra then says that is equal to 9x , as you can re-write that equation as (10x - x) + y - y or 9x so - whatever numbers you pick - the answer will always be a multiple of 9. therefore - the flash puzzle only ever shows the symbol for a multiple of nine. Check the chart - how many different symbols are there for the multiples of 9?
  5. Graham. Lexus dont make a "gold badge" edition - people simply change the badges over themselves mate. Sounds like the owner of the car you saw has changed the wheel trim covers, as well as the car badges.
  6. if you are paying someone to fix this, ask them to 1 - install an operating system that supports users and rights. XP is fine if you like windows - pro is even better. Get them to setup an administrator account, and make it very random - they can write it down and you keep it. 2 - setup your account, your wifes, and the girls accounts as simple users - even better guests. 3 - get them to give you an image of the final build - on a CD / DVD is fine. Norton Ghost 2003 will do this nicely. 4 - Install anti virus software. Avast is good and free for home use. Set it to auto update every day (defintions and program). Dont believe that changing browser or platform is the answer. Firefox has more serious exploits than internet explorer right now, and Mac's security through obscurity is hardly better than any security at all. Use the security offered by the operating system to ensure that you control the software on the machine. If your users cannot install stuff - then malware will not be able to install itself either.
  7. would have killed you to tell me it was on? sounds awesome! will it be repeated?
  8. I have some bad news to share I'm afraid.Lots of our members will know Kim - who is known as kimi on the Toyota Owners Club forums.Kim has attended many meets, and I know a lot of people here will know here.Kim has contracted breast cancer - which is obviously a terrible shock, and awful news.We are running a combined Lexus / Toyota Owners Club appeal to show our support for her. This is obviously going to be a very hard time. Not only the stress of the news and the treatment, but she will also obviously be out of work for several months. To this end we are collecting to try and help her out.Can I ask everyone to consider making a donation to this appeal. Its quick and easy - simply click on the button below and say how much you want to donate.Large or small - all donations are welcome.<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post"><input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick"><input type="hidden" name="business" value="gold@toyotaownersclub.com"><input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="Kimi Appeal"><input type="hidden" name="no_note" value="1"><input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="GBP"><input type="hidden" name="tax" value="0"><input type="hidden" name="bn" value="PP-DonationsBF"><input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but21.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!"></form>thank you.
  9. if you are in no hurry - give it a try. put a link in your sig / garage too
  10. as quite a few people have said - removing the mods may not only make it eaiser to sell - but may yield a higher total price if you sell them separately. Its going to boil down to time - if you want to put it up now - for sale any time in the next 9 months, leave the mods on - there may be someone who wants to buy as is. if you want to sell in a shorter timescale, I would suggest you would be better removing what you can and selling them seperately.
  11. that can be shruck considerably mate - not many people will want to download 1.6 gig (never mind I dont want to have to UPload it :D )
  12. Steve - if you get a digital copy, send it to me over MSN, and I'll host it for goldies
  13. clean it - wash and dry only takes 10 minutes
  14. two cars in three weeks now. this one doesnt seem to be treated too badly
  15. yes - use the shampoo. you want to get the car as clean as possible - the idea of claying is to remove surface contamination - so you want it free of easyily removed dirt. you dont want to be dragging dust all over the paintwork. shampoo it - dont worry about drying. I use plenty of soapy water to clay with - prefer that to the lubricant you get. once its thoroughly clayed - shampoo again to remove any clay residue. then dry it with a mf cloth ;)
  16. you want to explain how this is on topic - and not thread crapping?
  17. believe they include delivery but not VAT
  18. buff with a buffing bonnet, once you have removed the majority of product. paintwork cleanser is a touch redundant in this setup - you want to start from scratch. use the paintwork cleanser next time, instead of the FX2 ;)
  19. wash thoroughly. clay all over wash and dry SFX2 on the FX2 pad. All In One on FX3 pad As many layers of SG by hand as you can get down, leaving 24 hours between layers Wax by hand
  20. have you checked to make sure your wheels are not buckled?
  21. there is a noticeable difference between the 200 and 300. however - I found the IS200 to be a better "drive" - difficult to define. dont know why - but the 200 seemed "nimbler" / 300 more ponderous. not a huge difference - but I preferred the drive / handling of the IS200 (although came to really dislike the utter lack of power)
