  1. Al You sound knowledgeable on this. Another question. I'm moving to the UK from Aussie and want to bring my ES300 1992. I was told that as it is beyond 10 years old, there is no need to get the SVLA certificates. MOT only will do the trick. Is this true? Regards Graham
  2. Are there any Windom 300 owners out there in the UK who have found good insurance. Do local insurance companies penalise for being an import?
  3. Al I am in Aussie. About to move to Leeds and thinking about bringing my 92 Windom. I have had it since '97 and purchase from the first owner in Japan - so it's a good original. What issues can you expect I will face bringing this into the UK. I just rung the Leeds Lexus service centre and they thought there woujld be no prob. But from what you say above, amd I walking into a complex EU emissions testing prob? I thought if pre-owned and >10yrs then no issues except MOT? Rgds Graham
  4. Hi from Australia I took my aircon to an expert to have checked out. He told me that constant use (even in winter ) was important to keep the various seals lubricated. If they dry up you can get a leak. That may be the cause of your problem. If so, you need the seals replaced and the system recharged.
  5. A question to anyone who has imported a Lexus into the UK or who has an imported Windom ES300. I currently live in Australia and own a Japanese '92 ES300 Windom (I imported from the first owner in Japan). I am now moving to the UK and want to know about: 1) Any issues for parts availability. the windoms are subtley different than the Lexus 300 2) Will I face any import problems securing a MOT certificate. Thanks and regards Graham
