  1. Hello and welcome to LOC :D
  2. Hello, I have bypassed my amp in boot and fitted touch screen DVD player etc. My car came with the JBL system in. The wires in mine were as follows:- Cables from JBL Amp to Speakers. Rear Left - Speaker = Black with silver double rings. Rear Left + Speaker = Yellow with silver double rings. Middle Front - Speaker = Green with white strip. middle Front + Speaker = Brown with white strip. Rear Right + Speaker = Red with silver double rings. Rear Right - Speaker = White with silver double rings. Front Right + Speaker = Blue with silver double rings. Front Right - Speaker = Green with silver double rings. Front Left + Speaker = Purple with silver double rings. Front Left - Speaker = Green with silver double rings. 6 pin plug - male with 4 wires behind main unit. White with black strip & silver single ring = Earth - Grey with silver single ring 12V+ on 1st click on ignition. Green with double silver rings = Earth - Blue with Yello strip & silver ring = 12v+ constant. When I get my car back from Thor, (having rear brake upgrade and fuel pump) I will take photos of cables etc, so you can get a better idea. I have a list of the wires from the main unit aswell , just need to sort it out and I will post will take photo of behind main unit aswell. Hope this help. Regards Paul.
  3. He must have been going a bit to hit a tree and do that damage, he was very lucky in two ways:- 1:- He managed to walk away 2:- No one else was in the car with him, because if there was he would have killed them.

  12. BOEING 797 Will not be long before we will be sitting in the wing with vista views. Look at this new aircraft...guess we are not going to be outdone by the French A380. Boeing to take on Airbus with (1000 seat) giant 797 Blended Wing plane. Boeing is preparing a 1000 passenger jet that could reshape the Air travel industry for the next 100 years. The radical Blended Wing design has been developed by Boeing in cooperation with the NASA Langley Research Center . The mammoth plane will have a wing span of 265 feet compared to the 747's 211 feet, and is designed to fit within the newly created terminals used for the 555 seat Airbus A380, which is 262 feet wide. The new 797 is in direct response to the Airbus A380 which has racked up 159 orders, but has not yet flown any passengers. Boeing decide to kill its 747X stretched super jumbo in 2003 after little interest was shown by airline companies, but has continued to develop the ultimate Airbus crusher 797 for years at its Phantom Works research facility in Long Beach, Calif. The Airbus A380 has been in the works since 1999 and has accumulated $13 billion in development costs, which gives Boeing a huge advantage now that Airbus has committed to the older style tubular aircraft for decades to come.! There are several big advantages to the blended wing design, the most important being the lift to drag ratio which is expected to increase by an amazing 50%, with overall weight reduced by 25%, making it an estimated 33% more efficient than the A380, and making Airbus's $13 billion dollar investment look pretty shaky. High body rigidity is another key factor in blended wing aircraft, It reduces turbulence and creates less stress on the air frame which adds to efficiency, giving the 797 a tremendous 8800 nautical mile range with its 1000 passengers flying comfortably at mach 88 or 654 mph (+-1046km/h) cruising speed another advantage over the Airbus tube-and-wing designed A380's 570 mph (912 km/h). The exact date for introduction is unclear, yet the battle lines are clearly drawn in the high-stakes war for civilian air supremacy.

  14. As suggested I removed the existing bass speaker from rear shelf to improve the bass/airflow into main cabin. This is how I got access to bass speaker 1:- Remove back seat cushion by pulling up at front (You have to pull hard) both sides. The back seat will then just pull out. 2:- Undo the 4 bolts at base of rear back support. These are clearly visible. 2 are by the seat belt fixings and the other 2 are close to the doors. 3:- Remove both head rests and lift the flap up as shown in picture. This will reveal 2 nuts. - Undo these, you will need a box spanner or a deep socket. The rear support can now be pulled forward and rested against the front seats. 4:- Either side of the door remove to rubber door seal around the 2 side panels. Remove the 2 side panels (You will have to pull hard). Ensure that all clips are in side panel - if not remove clips from body work using a flat head screw driver and fit back into side panels. This will make it easier to refit side panel. 5:- On the back shelf you will see 3 black plastic retaining clips right at the front. Prise these out with a flat head screw driver. You can know lift the shelf and pull if forward. (Don't pull to hard because of Rear brake light wiring) 6:- Undo to rear brake light connecter, you will need to get both hands in to do this as I found the connecter a pain to undo. You can now completely remove the rear shelf to expose the bass unit. As you can see I removed the bass unit and knocked out the two plates either side, these were already pressed and came out no trouble at all. I then refitted everything back together and put in two vibe bass ports. All this has done the trick, the bass is know very loud and has a deep hard punch.. I now have a smile on my face. :D
