  1. Happy Birthday gadget!

  2. just renewed mine ( is200 SE ) through Swiftcover.com for 350.00 fully comp/Legal cover/ courtesy car etc.. Was with Tesco last year there renewal for this year was 498.00.. Looked at confused.com and prices varied from 438.00 upto 844.30 .. So Click click dont Cluck Cluck.. :D :D
  3. Hi, Had the very same problem on my 200SE, Found it to be the drivers door pin switch, This is situated just below the door catch on the drivers side pillar, Undo the philips head screw, Remove the switch with the cable attached, Remove the cable from the switch use a bit of masking tape to stop the cable dropping down the hole.. them clean the contact area of the switch where the screw goes through andwhere the wire fits on with a fibre pen or fine sand paper, Reaasemble and test, Mine was a bit tarnished and wasn't grounding out every time the door opened, so the interior light wouldnt come on, the auto lights would stay on and the buzzer didnt beep. took ten minutes to do, no further problems.. :D
  4. Bazza, bought my daughter a saxo last year from a dealer, wasnt too bad a car for the first few months, then was plaqued by faults such as drive shaft, and wheel bearings, also needed disks on the front which after being done by citreon dealers they couldnt get any rear brake, ended up being a master cylinder and rear brake pistons but took them a week to sort it. changed it this year for a VW polo 1.0 on a x plate, Nice car has done a few thousand miles now with no problems, bit more refined and a better drive imo. plus it was group 2 insurance.
  5. Just my two pennys worth.. I agree with the altering of position on approch to stationary traffic waiting at junctions ect. along with other actions this would be called Defensive Riding, but there is an obvious trait to the car drivers eye or mind. I ride 2 sorts of bike, The first is a Pan European, White and has all sorts of things on it to make me very visable to other road users, The second is a 2001 Blade that I also ride with as much conspicuacy aids as possible and ride them in the same manner, However drivers seem to see my work bike no problem.. Maybe the answer is seeing what you dont want to see. Road safety is eveyones responsibility. I do agree that bikers who drive cars are less likely to pull out on other road users probably because we know it hurts..
  6. Well they fit, but as said.. Stick out a bit on the rear, will catch on arch if I happen to carry a few Heffas in the back, ooooohhh never mind.. Still if anyone wants a complete set of RX wheel in as new condition with avon stickys on them I know a man who has em at a good price.. Thanks for all your help as usual.. Cheers John..

Both look good but the extra few dollors may pay dividens.. Going for Toyo's.... :D Or maybe Kuhmos's... TOYO'S it is ... Done Deal Booked for Tuesday.. :) Thanks All Much Appreciated.. B) John.D.
  12. A BIG Thanks to all your replies.. B) Looks like a visit to the local dealer for a full set of Kuhmo's it is then, I was impressed with the price quoted set of 4 all in for £270 fitted/Balanced :D Many thanks John
  13. Hi to all.. I hope someone can advise me.. Got my IS200 SE for just a few months, When I bought it the dealer had had too replace all 4 tyres and had fitted Nankangs 215/45/17 all round, Like other posts have reported I have found them Twichy in the wet and very noisey.. I want to replace them and a visit too my local tyre depot gave me these options A) 215/40/17 Kumho KY31 Fitted/balanced etc for £270.00 B) Toyo PXT1's Fitted/balanced etc for £315.00 Whats best for moderate driving and road holding in the UK climate ( Mostly Wet )? How do the prices stand up against other places? and I just noticed that the profile is 40 as opposed to 45 as fitted currently .. Will this cause any adverse effects? Thanks for your help in advance . . John
  14. :) :D Very Merry Xmas.. and a happy new year to all on LOC .... Wonder what santa's Bringing... New Is Perhaps.. :winky:
