  1. Why not take the kit with you Kaz? I'd go for a 300 too...
  2. Are they the ones off the chap on Ebay Owen?
  3. Welcome to the club. In response to your questions: 1) 2003/2004 is when it became standard in the SE's. It's not standard on the Sports. 2) Full leather came in lst year as did a change in alloy wheel size (they remained 17's though). Some may come with full body kits too. There was a revised stereo and changes to the housing of front and rear lights. Other than that, they have remained pretty much the same. 3) Big services are 60k and 100k. Costs vary per dealer. 4) I'm sure the prices will drop - its only natural with a new model being released. 5) Don't think it's that noticable for everyday driving. 6) All round, they are fine. There are faults with alloys wheel corrosion, old stereos failing and very brittle paint at the front which pick up stione chips. There can be judders in 1st and 2nd gear, but all in all, they are fine. Hope this helps.
  4. I was trying to work out where I had seen the TM Works Ignite kit - and then realised it was Bernard who orginally posted it... :D http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=23574
  5. As Mike says, there are lots available. Have a scout around on the net or ask your FA who should be able to give you a steer. The majority require a minimum of between 1,000 and 50,000 upfront. There are usually plenty of clauses around access to money too. So read the small print carefully!
  6. Cool - may have to pop down and take a gandar at their workshop and have a chat with them... :)

    Servicing ?

    This thread here...
  8. Looks great Am. :) Thermostat will be fun to fit - I know mine was. Same oil cooler I have too - have you noticed high oil temps then? When you planning on fitting? Will you be dynoing before/after to see gains? Wish I was as rich as you... :(
  9. Sounds ace Mike. Were you happy with the facilities and service offered by UPAuto?
  10. Welcome to the Club! Have a good look around the forums as there is a vast amount of information at your fingertips. As mentioned above, to get to the 200hp mark with the IS200, a blower or turbo is the route to go down. Let us know how you get on and if you have any more questions.
  11. Looks like this could be another good un!!! :D Mat - If you could drop Friedel a note to let him know this is being planned for the 2nd quarter, and find out if he has any dates he can't make, we'll work round that. Tell him I'll be in touch nearer the time.
  12. The S/C and Induction kits for the IS200/Altezza won't. There are specific applications for yours. However, the Rad panel will fit. Try our sister site: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/
  13. If you get the correct Denso plugs, they already come gapped. IK20's as mentioned above.
  14. Where do you think? Another Lexus of course.......
  15. I created this list for a friend of mine who bought a TT late last year that may be helpful: Check the dashpods, coilpacks, window drop, maf sensors. Get a Warranty!!...no seriously as I'm sure others will point out there are some well documented problems with the TT and they're expensive if they do go wrong....remember it's a performance car so parts aren't cheap and Audi charge about 95 quid an hour to fix things...I have had two Audi's both bought from main dealers for the warranties alone....touch wood my 2000 TTR has been fine but my 2.6 1997 cabriolet had 2k worth of work needed but all done under warranty The early models were not subject to the coil pack failures Check service book has been stamped by dates / mileage due If poss get the Reg # & call a dealer to check that recall has been done & nothing out of the ordinary done e.g accident damage Turbo, gearbox etc should be lasting 150k + but as suggested earlier get a Warranty Check all usual things when buying a used car - VIN, reg doc, MOT, HPI etc etc Get the VIN No and phone Audi Customer services, they should be able to tell you the history. Spec wise, look out for ones without ESP, they just have a blank button to the left of the hazard warning switch. A few may be without a rear spoiler also. BOSE seems to be a must, and CD changer is desirable. If you can, aim for a fully laden 180, with climate control, DIS, Xenons and bigger alloys. There are a quite a few out there. The ESP & spoiler was part of the recall although some owners didn't want to spoil the lines & opted not to fit the spoiler. Audi decided that the airflow-sensors in the following TT's (recall 24H3) '99: X1000101 to 026901 '00: Y1000001 to 091269 have to be renewed with airflow-sensors ending with D (180) and E (225). Normally guaranteed..
  16. Yep could do Mike - thats what we did on the way back, but going out, the time was dodgy so we ended up doing it this way. But you're right, I think we ought to do that both ways this year... :)
