  1. I just changed to More Than insurance (Royal & Sun Alliance) and got a very good deal. The only question they ask about mods is are there any fitted that affect top speed or acceleration.
  2. I would have thougth a good run to get it nice and hot would do the trick
  3. best wishes for a speedy recovery
  4. Hi Nigel As I remember, the connector for the amp is on the front, and you can easily splice into the mute wire there (I think you may have to take the glovebox out though - it's a while ago and I honestly can't remember). The diagramn I sent you has pin numbers on it which correspond to the picture of the plugs on the other diagram (I hope that makes sense) I certainly remember it being quite easy to do though mate
  5. I wasn't a fan either - didn't feel very reassuring until they were hot.
  6. Dave and I are talking via PM. Like C-B I'm not going to say anything else here as it's not helping.
  7. You're just proving your ignorance of the subject mate. What on earth has smack got to do with it? Ask your ex and/or your mum (with all due respect) if they actually know of anyone who has EVER died as a result of re-using an insulin needle - ever, in the whole world (ffs!!) And you have no idea what I do for a living do you?
  8. I love it when people that no absolutely nothing voice their opinions anyway. how amy times have you actually given or received an injection using a re-used needle - upon what is your opinion based? I've given myself 4 jabs a day (on average) for the last 33 years - that's about 48,000 injections. I have never had an abcess or blood poisoning - not once - ever, and I re-use every needle many times. Stop talking crap please.
  9. Not true. I've been diabetic for over 30 years and usually give myself 4 injections a day. Modern needles are fine for about a dozen injections before they start to get painful. I get mine on the NHS but can't be bothered to change the needle after every injection - I just change it when it gets blunt and painful. Insuling syringes come with integral nedles nowadays - these cost about 10p each (buy them in a box of 100). You are allowed to buy them from a pharmacist without prescription. You may also find that you can get an insulin pen device for your dog (I've been using one for many years). A very quick Google turned up this link (there are loads) - £17 for a 100 syringes. http://www.furrypharm.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=452 If you'd like any advice / reassurance / whatever about diabetes dave - happy for you to call me.
  10. the only other way I can think of mate is to export the folder to a .PST file and then mail the .PST file
  11. you can select all the messages in a folder and then forward them altogether in one new message
  12. any time mate - i have a wiring diagram for the audio somewhere - PM me with your email address if you'd like me to send it to you
  13. Pull down the cover underneath the glove box - and then un-tuck the carpet along the left side of the transmission tunnel - there's enough space in both of those places to put the box. The mute wire goes onto the amp - which is behind the glove box. If no-one else comes along with the pin location I can dig it out - let me know. You can pick up a good 12v (always on and switched) from teh amplifier hardness too - and an earth - so all wires are in a good location. Have a look at www.dashmount.co.uk for some ideas about how to mount your phone without drilling holes. hth
  14. I read that article too - there was a quote from a "short guy" saying I don't mind being called a dwarf at all and don't know anyone in my situation who does either - why didn't they ask us before dreaming up this crap
  15. Most modern tellies support RGB on the scart 1 plug. It'd be worth using that as the picture is soooo much better. On your Sky remote, press SERVICES 401 SELECT and select RGB under the picture options - you'll notice a big improvement in the picture. It's worth buying a decent scart cable for this too. You're right about Dolby Digital - it's only on the movie channels at the moment. If you want to start using it you need the optical cable and you'll need to turn DD on in the audio settings.
  16. we don't condone the use of illegal Toyota software here - sorry.
  17. I'm starting to think that all Toyota oil filters are the same. certainly the one I bought for my GS is identical to the one I bought for my import Estima. I bought an OEM lexus one in the end - only cost £8.00 - probably the cheapest thing I've ever bought in a lexus dealer
  18. I have an import MPV and got a very good deal from http://www.lifesure.co.uk/
  19. I sympathise with you mate. I have adhesive capsulitis in both shoulders and it's bloody painful. I can lift a piano no problem but sometimes I pick up a pencil and it's agony. Best thing i've found for the pain is cold pack and Ipobrufen
  20. thanks again guys - mine's always had fully synthetic oil (as far as I know - it's always been changed by Lexus dealers)
