  1. Hi, I was wondering to mix engines and creating a "new" engine, like the 1.5JZ-GTE 86.0mm bore x 75mm stroke - that will be around 2.6L engine How far this is possible? Anyone can give further engine details like valves and other.
  2. B)--> QUOTE(Hank B @ Apr 30 2007, 10:58 PM) ← He's from Portugal mate :) Jamie Seriously though, how are we supposed to know how much to pay for one in portugal :duh: Thank you, to remind me that I live in Portugal. But I'm not interested in buying in Portugal, because it's quite difficult to find one IS300 on the street and even more difficult to find on a scrap yard. The market where I'm looking for engines, is this stage of enquiring, are the British, French and American. And German I will look as well. But for the moment, I just want to know is the availability and prices.
  3. Hi, It's relatevely easy to find IS300 engine on scrapyards? What should be the "RIGHT" price???
  4. Hello Recently I changed the 4 sock absorbers, and I feel the car ok under all the conditions, unless when I take 4 passengers or some cargo. Under this conditions the rear suspension is quite jumpy, if the road is bumpy or if I made some curve with more speed. I found that the rear suspension is high, to be honest, I don't know if it's standard or not, and the camber it seems to be more "positive" than it should be. Anyone can tell what are the correct setup's for the rear suspension? Can I have any bushes out of order? Where I can find ployutherane bushes for the IS 200 Sport? Thanks and Regards, CR
  5. hello I have a doubt about is 300 transmission. I only found available in the is300 the auto gearbox, never a the 6 speed manual like in the is 200. The reason I made this question is because I found the 6-speed manual of the is200 very close.
  6. movit brakes??? do you know anything about this??? http://www.movit.de/ I saw it in a tunning garage, and they told me that is possible to fit in any car. But in their website, they only have it for the Lexus 400....
  7. Hello, I would like to know if I can apply some parts (brake discs, brake lines, etc.) from the IS 300 on IS 200 Regards,
  8. Translation: Bit of oil - 0,5l in 8000 km (some hard driving) I bought the car to a Lexus dealer, and they told that the car was a long period of time parking (more than 3 months) After that I refill with more oil and since then it's appears to be ok. I made 4000 km more without changing the level of oil in the dipstick. I know that oil consumption is "natural" under certain levels but I'm still worried about.
  9. I recently bought an IS 200 sport, and I'm very happy with the car. I made a little more than 8000 km, and as natural in the km's I had push a bit harder the engine. I find that the engine drunk a bit of oil. For the use I made it seems natural but I would like your opinion about this. The has 120 000 km at the moment Regards
  10. Don´t worry so much, this night I made the usual test with a friend more able than me to sort out if my sport have or not a LSD Diff... The result is positive.... :D Another important issue. I found the IS 2000 catalogue and the diff is not a simple LSD. It's a TORSEN one...
  11. That's true, but what I had in mind was a search by the chassis number or something similar. That's possible??? I would like to know if the diff is a lsd diff and if it is working properly.
  12. Yes it is. ← I recently bought a 99 IS 200 sport and I wonder (despite the usuals methods :P ) if my Lexus have the lsd diff or not. Where I can get a reliable information ?
