Having done a few more miles on it, it's actually very quiet. You can hear the wind noise on the mway, at around 70-80 it's not intrusive - I guess I noticed it before as the radio was off and the rest of the car is soo quiet :)

Hi, Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a mk1 RX300 (with the sat nav screen but not sat nav module)? I'm looking for the remote mute wire (if there is one), a switched and permanent live - for fitting a bluetooth car kit... Also, does anyone know if it's possible to intercept the audio from the cd changer - so I can wire an ipod in as a direct feed... (I understand I'll prob need to play a 'blank' cd to get any sound) Any help appreciated :) Cheers, Jon

Fair enough :) This is the problem with getting a new car - you start to notice all of the little noises and wonder if they are normal or not ;)

Hi, At motorway speeds, how much wind noise should you have on a mark1 RX? It's very very quiet at lower speeds, but on the motorway it gets a bit noisier... Just wondered if this is normal, or warrants further investigation :) Cheers, Jon

Just had a response from VAIS: I don't know if that means you need the navi module, or they have different systems over there... I assumed the navi / non navi systems were the same apart from an add on component....

Cool. Any ideas on group buy pricing yet, or is it dependant on the number of interested people? Do you know of anyone who has tried one in a non nav RX? :) Cheers, Jon

I've had a dig through that thread - noone has mentioned it working on the RX though, just the IS and queries for the LS / GS etc... Gold forums - I suppose I'd better join ;)

Hi Everybody, I've just picked up a 2002 RX300SE, have to say I'm chuffed to bits with it. I've come from completely the other end of the scale, having previously owned a rather scary 350BHP Nissan 200sx - I'm not used to the refinement and luxury yet! The only thing I'm missing is ipod integration... I've been a good newbie and searched, but the only solutions I can find are: iTrip. They suck :) The Vaistech unit. They don't seem to like answering mails, and I can't find a UK distributor :( I'm also unsure if the head unit supports MD text (it doesn't support CD Text, I've tried that) Splicing into the audio feed for the standard changer. This was mentioned by someone previously - has anyone ever tried this, or has the wiring diagrams / wire colours for the cd changer cable? :) Cheers for any help :) Jon
