After 6 years with 1999 GS300 I decided to save some money and bought a IS220d SE-L. It's not a bad car, but after two years I understood IS220d is not 100% Lexus and now I am moving back to the GS series. 2007-2008 hybrid will fit best for me (I like the power, comfort and fuel consumption). Anybody have specifications for SE, SE-L and Sport models? Is it Sport model suspension the same as Se or SE-L ? Thanks, Kes

For my 57 plate IS220d SEL three weeks ago it was the same story. Lexus dealers asked £900+vat for new DPF filter. Car now driving like new :)

Decided to sell my Aristo; wrote advert to Autotrader website, as well my telephone number and email. On next day I got email from the guy who was interested in my car. I sent more pictures. Got stange email back: Thanks soo much for the mail and yea just to let you know that i am not in the position to make call right now cos my phone does not have the permit to make a long distnace call neither to recive any international call.So you dont need to worry once we conclude on everything i will locate a local pay phone station to give you a call.But am really okay with the details i got from the web site and its really my taste. As to the question i will like to ask u here are the question . (1) What is the present condition of the Engine ? (2) How many miles has the car done ? (3) What is the cindition of the Shock Absover ? (4) What is the condition of the tires ? (5) What is the condition of the Radiator,top Jasket. (6) Is it a factory fited A/C or not ? (7) How does the documentation of the car look like ? (8) What is the condition of the Brake Pad ? Really just to let you know that as for the payment,i will be paying with a Certified Bank Draft drawn from a local bank in United Kingdom and as for the shipping i will handle that myself by contacting my international shipping agent to really handle that for me.Also can you help me send more pics of it if you can and if not you dont need to worry yourself . Westfield motors- really good service. They charging £40+vat per hour. It's necessary to book in advance. I waited for 2 weeks. They got courtesy cars (Toyota Carina, etc); charging £4/day. They changed for my Aristo timing belt, tensionier, engine oil (my parts), and gearbox oil. I got courtesy car as well. I paid £180. My mind it's a good price. Happy about the service :)

DONE! Phoned to Westfield motors; they told me to check connection on bottom of the radiator. I checked- it was connected, but one wire was broken. I fixed per 10 minutes :)

Toyota Aristo MkII, 3.0 l, non turbo. Servised car in Westfield Motors, Essex. Changed cambelt, engine oils and gearbox oils. Everything all right, but later noticed, that engine blower working all the time, doesn't matter engine cold or hot. Before service it worked just then engine was overheated, for example- in the traffic. Now it stopping to work just when I turning key off. Enybody knows what's happened?.

Hello! My car is Aristo 1999 reg. I bought second hand alloys from GS MkIII, 18' 5 spoke, w/o chrome. Everything great, exept that missing centre caps (60mm). Went to Lexus dealers in Woodford and ask for caps; they asking me Reg No. I told them I got GS 1999 reg, but alloys are from new GS 2005-2006 years model. And they coudn't help me! Anybody got 4 spare cenre caps or new GS with 18' wheels just for reg No for dealers. Any ideas? Thanks! Alloy
