  1. I also only got one key plus the plastic spare, any hints on where to get a new key or two would be great. Lexus in Poole quoted 250 pounds to get a new one cut and sent out from Italy, there must be other options about... I hope...
  2. Try 3DSMax... One day, if I have time, I will put something together :)
  3. mine is described as "champagne Silver", except theres no bubbles in the paint-work, which is a bonus :)
  4. Did you let her warm up properly before trying to switch to manual ?
  5. I was wrong, Noel was right.......
  6. Thats not what my user manual says, but I will investigate further (I may have my wires crossed here, will check when I get home)
  7. Mine is labeled PWR and is to the left of the gear stick (next to the SNOW button) if you need a picture let me know and I'll upload one
  8. Snow button: It limits the rev output to prevent rear wheel spin, I tested mine on a run through the alps. Its weird at first as you might think youre driving a morris minor but it really is effective.... I have traction control (its marked as POWER on the button) and is on by default, you have to turn it off IN THE DRY ONLY.....
  9. Nice, now if you can just stop those taxis from scraping the side of your nice new toy......
  10. Thats normal, and it also wont let you go too low if the engine is not warmed up, if you need 1st, use the gear stick
  11. Hello Fellow South African, Im in th UK saving some cash for a house Im planning to build in J-Bay, you are gonna LOVE your new toy. Ive had my RS200Z for nearly a year and have not looked back. Send some pics of your Tezza under the african skies to make me jelous.. (Winter is starting to Kick in here in the UK)
  12. with the A/C on and set to cold its like a an ice box if I want it so I guess everything is OK. Thanks for the advice all ;)
  13. Thanks, so should I be concerned or not ? Is it correctable or should I just live with it..
  14. Gents, has anyone had the A/C make strange gurgling sounds ? and as a byproduct, the A/C seems to only have two settings, etiher nice and cold or just plain volcano mode.... Any thoughts ?
  15. OK thanks, better safe than sorry. Can you recommend which are the best ones Mr Singh ? also, whilst surfingI found an interesting article about induction systems which is worth a read http://mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/
  16. Go for it, its value for money, style and performance... And as its from Mr Toyota its almost bullet proof. I get mine serviced at Lexus Poole and they have no problems with her what so ever. :winky: You wont be disapointed :D
  17. yeah it does go away after a good run, its just that its crept in recently. I used to have a hilux in south africa which did the same thing and that was due to a bit of corrosion so I was nervous that it could be that, but thinking about it the belts sound more likely.
  18. Thanks :) now for the next question... I have limited experiance with my head in an engine bay.. but I feel confident that with a manual I can do just about anything, is there a handy link to tell me how to do it ?
  19. Hi Guys, Im looking for a bit of advice here. I have the 3G-SE engine in my tezza and recently a little "Squeek" noise has started to come from the engine bay. Im pretty sure its got to do with the timing belts, or at least coming from the wheel the belts are mounted on. If I zap it with WD-40 does anyone think this will be an error ? Should I be concerned ? Thanks
  20. Panic stations over, I found that on ebay Australia there are quite a few resources.... On another subject, is there any Altezza meets planned for the summer ??
  21. Hi there, Ive been trying to track down a front badge for Tezza which some spotty teenager stole off mine :tsktsk: . If you have one it would be GREAT :) , or if you need a picture to make sure its the right one let me know and I can post it or email it. If anyone else has one taking up space in the garage after you changed out the standard grill, I am prepared to pay a fair price for the badge. Cheers Greg
  22. Thanks !! Now, does anyone else know where to find a spotty teenage thief detector with a built in vaporise function ? ;-p
  23. Some little F%ç*in B"çtH has stolen the grill badge from my Tezza whilst it was parked outside the london zoo yesterday. :shutit: :duh: Anyone know the easiest way to find a new one ??

The car is as delivered except Ive fitted a CAT1 thatchams and had a couple of very minor scratches sprayed. Total cost on the road is 8K. Compared to some cars I've had this is by the far the best value for money. I used to be Audi or BMW only, no more, hell it even drives better than a decent 3 series.... It also has a carrozeria sound system with 12 disc shuffler installed. The carpets and interior look new :) The only missing componant I have to replace is the coffee cup clip for the middle consol between the driver and front passenger. VERY HAPPY CAMPER :winky:
