  4. LPG is rated at 105+ octaine and you dont need a cheap run around when your aristo runs LPG. :)

the uk ones have separate indicator lamps so don't know if they are a straight swap.if your aristo one have gone yellow give them a clean with rainx it sorted mine.
  6. the only kits you should consider are Prins or BRC these are the best availble.Ido know there are kits availble next year for direct injection but i havent heard of the the new lexus engines being done.I was at the Prins factory in holland recently and saw the golf fsi kit they were deveolping. It may be worth waiting until the lexus has been done with no long term problems as some of these kits may be engine specific.
  7. My Aristo is running LPG super saloon performance with diesel fiesta running costs :D
  8. Hi, Have the garage confirmed its over heating also does it have this fault if you hold the engine at fast idle at around 4000 rpm? Does the temp gauge quickly move in to the red at high speeds and then quickly move down at low speeds then reason i ask is if the motor is over heating right in to the red it wont cool down that quickly if you just slow down as you have less air flow going through the rad.It may be possible that you have some sort of elec fault with the gauge or the sender unit.As for the rad when mine split at the top i was unable to get an aristo one so i fitted one from a gs,it will fit but the position of the top hose will cause it foul the induction pipe as it comes up to the throttle also the fan cowling mounting points will need a little modifying mine been in a few months and causes no problems as for cost i paid £120 for a new one.
  9. have you checked the oil?
  10. the stuff you get from halfords is just like rad weld for ac systems. The reson the industry tells you not to use it is because it garbage. If your ac has lost it gas it will also have lost oil for the compressor, correct me if i am wrong i dont think that stuff has oil in aswell. Also if you ever have to take to car to be done properly and you tell the garage whats in there the garage will not hook up the machine as thestuff that seals the leak gets in to the machine and ruins it like it did to ours. The stuff you get from halfords doesnt remove any moisture from the system so it could freeze in side and destoy your compressor. There are many other resons why this garbage should not be used.It wont be long before its banned due the laws requied for handling such gasses. The only way to recharge an ac system is with the right equipment. For an extra £40 to have it done properly there is no point in wasting your money.I have to ask would you skimp a few quid on some cheap nasty engine oil for your your pride and joy?I dont think you would.
  11. Sounds like you may have pre cat air leak,it will suck in air on over run and ignight any unburnt fuel in the cat causing a back fire.Check the exhaust to see if it has been damaged it may have been clobberd and moved on a joint busting a seal. When a free flow exhaust is fitted they are some times too big and will suck air back up the pipe on overrun.Have seen this happen a few times.
  12. have you ever considerd LPG it will half your running cost plus it rated at 1o5 octaine.
