  1. Simultaneous door lock/unlock didnt work. Was suggested by Lexus sales person. Ok, Can anyone give me an idea where in the engine bay I can tap into the starter +12v wire? Removing the intake manifold and all that to access the starter is NOT an option. Im gonna manually switch the starter to get the car started. Anyone?
  2. 6minute thing didnt work. Ive tried most of the alarm immobiliser reset procedures Ive read about. None work. Found the diagnostic port so Ill give that a shot to see if something is shot. Anyone here specifically with a 91 LS400 UK car?
  3. 91 LS400 4.0L v8 - ex UK car I think (no japanese writing on the stereo) 2nd hand car, private purchase. Only have the ignition key/door key, no key FOB, no key for trunk. Either trunk lock busted or need a different key for trunk. Needs a paint job but with a Toyota 4.0 V8, looks werent a concern :) Car was bought driving the finest :) needed pads on the front right, easy DIY job. Locked the doors the first night, came out the following day and the car wouldnt start. Immobilised somehow, alarm wailing. Security light pulsed. Pulled the battery and turned on electrics to drain any power. Left for 24hrs. Replaced battery turned the ignition key, VROOM! Great...made a note to never lock the car. EVER! Car drive fine, security light stayed off. until last night. Locked the car by mistake, unlocked the car later and the alarm went off. Put in the ignition key and the alarm stops, starter motor wont swing the engine over. Pulled the battery again, but this time it did not work. Car wont start, alarm goes off and security light stays on. Tried it again, alarm is still a nusiance but the security light stays off. Last attempt was to flatten a good battery and let the security ecus n stuff die! All lights went out, even the security one. Jumped the lexus off another car. NO ALARM sounded, this was good. Car still wouldnt start, IMMOBILISED. Exited the car. Closed then opened the door, alarm went off. -I need to know, with a fully charged battery in place, how do I reset the alarm and the immobiliser? -Can they be reset seperately? -Can I run a diagnostic like on the corollas and such and check for ecu errors codes? How do I go about it on the LS400? Irish Lexus dealers didnt sell the LS400 til 1995 or so I was told by a lexus dealer. So I'm screwed there cos they wont help. Found a 4amp fuse on a wire under the dash a a small switch by the accelerator pedal?? Its dark and Im not going near the car again til the morning. If I can drive the car (immobiliser fixed) I can disable the alarm horn and get to where Im going. Happens to be a funeral at Christmas :(
