Just had the S/C fitted (thanks to Dave :D and steve at charlesworth ) to my IS Auto :D ,it is head mental :duh: .The noise is beaut,any auto owners out there that havent got one,need one immediately.

cheers Dave got the motor to steve at charlesworth,and the spring had already got there.getting it charged tomorrow cant wait,cheers once again.Had a test drive of Lee Iceman's motor,its the nutts. :D :D

I should have listened sooner.What a difference these bars have on cornering in the IS200.this is my first mod,and the impact its had on my car obligates me to highly recommend these to any non- mod minded lex driver even if its the only thing you ever do.next week its the s/c cant wait.Cheers boys for sound advice.Got the sways that came off if anyone wants.decided to never sell this motor so will never take it back to std.Rsarin ;) ;)oh yeah can anyone tell us if the trd front strut is suitable for the s/c.I understand it may need to be modified to fit.or is the cusco better?cheers

Drive the car to your required speed. hit the cruise button,once the cruise is on pull down the paddle and hold it for 2/3 secs and then let go,the car will adjust itself to mantain the set speed.wont work below 35mph i think.once the cars in motion u can adjust the speed with the hand paddle,arrow up/arrow down.press the cruise button to cancel cruise control

Im sure that if you mention to any lexus dealership in the UK that you dont feel happy about the level of attention youve received as a prospective customer im certain that any one dealership would spring into action and aim to force a motor down your throat as soon as poss.Lexus are the first to hound people when you leave telephone details.And I agree sales staff need to know your interested,and im sure due to the high volume of 250s being test driven in the uk that they may be slow to respond. Most the people in my street have been down to the local lex dealership.(maybe 1 in 5 actually have the intention to purchase in the next month most have just bought new cars,just checking out competition.BUT The product is the most important thing.

on the TDI site it says that the HKS HiPower Silent exits at an angle.scarface r you sure it doesnt exit at an angle cos thats what put me off buying it.if it doesnt ill get one.Ive never seen it fitted.Many Thanks.Rsarin

Im sure someone with some serious knowledge will be along to tell u what you wanna hear.But S/C kit available,safe power inc to abaout 210bhp with exhaust and induction upgrade, u can also get a turbo conversion from tdi for £5000 gets you to a safe 250hp.S/C kit about £2500.welcome, new to LOC myself.Rsarin

Yes i heard that its only used if going down a steep slope or towing a vehicle.but even if i do use the 32L as you would in manual will it cause damage to the car in anyway.cheers.Rsarin

Does anyone have an auto.Its my first IS Auto,is it advisable to use the 3-2-L gears as u would in a 6 speed box.cheers.Rsarin

want i meant to say mat was that im no longer gonna let my lady influence my descision about the noise factor in general.Yes i have understood that any further attempt to add power after the s/c will mean that its impossible to avoid noise.increasing power for the car is my main objective.the noise i can deal with.Cheers.Rsarin

no geez i know u aint having a go.u obviously know loads and i want to get some of that info from u,but i think your right reading the forums are important to get a clear idea,and i guess after the S/C im gonna have to get some more education b4 i do anymore mods.I really need to get to grips with basic mech procedures and learn a bit more about basics in general.Cheers for adv.Rsarin definetely gonna go for power over noise.

sorry again, but i mean if the induction kits on with the S/C and its making all that sound will the HKS silent completely drown it out on its own OR would you have to attatch a silencer to ensure all the sound is drowned.silly questions i know and basic,but i genuinely dont know otherwise i wouldnt ask,im trying to use the search like u said but cos the my basic knowledge of cars aint clear im finding it difficult to keep up with experienced LOCers.but at the same time am trying to pick up as much info as i can without getting confused.maybe i need to brush up on some basics.

this is a stupid question but if i fit the induction kit, will attatching a silencer lower the sound?yeah and it does say a 10hp inc on the pro-lex site.Do you know how to get hold of the cats the germans replace with?

i drove my mates 250sel around for a week when he was away on hols,and he definetely has a rattle prob.im not sure if its only when the mm is on,cos it was always active.He has taken it to his dealership and they are doing there investigations.But I think you should definetely kick up a fuss regarding the damage to your vehicle.You should also write a strongly worded letter outlining your dissapointment with the service that u received.In my experience with lexus centres both in lond and the midlands when you send a written complaint it carries alot more weight than a verbal one.it may seem stupid but all companies providing a service have to follow a set protocol when dealing with written complaints.Whether they like or not your complaint has to creep into a staff dealership meeting one day,and someone will be forced to take note.Rsarin

way before i decided to get the S/C setup i bought an 02 sensor chip for the IS from ebay for about £35,and i never fitted it.does anyone know about these or have an opinion on em.Is there actually a power increase or is it a myth?.im thinking of fitting it until my s/c kit gets fitted on the 20th just to see what the crack is.Would anyone advise for/against.or should i stay well clear and be patient?
