  1. Your joking they actually said that, that would p*ss me right off. Well i got my claims package through last night from Bolton council and my insurance have been intouch with them aswel. The annoying thing is at the bottom of the letter is says "please think before trying to claim, there are better places we can spend the money" aaaarrrrr how checky.... i pay road tax and they have the cheek to write that. Im going to take this to the end. My Mother works for Bolton council and my missus family are all in the Law business so they wont get rid of me easily lol pp
  2. thanx for the pothole.co.uk....very very helpful Thanks Phill
  3. hhhmmmm i had an expensive drive at the weekend, decided to have a nice drive over the hills with the missus ;). Next thing i get around the corner and there it was....the biggest pot hole ive ever seen. There was a car coming towards me so the only thing i could do was hit it and i was doing 10mph UNDER the speed limit :(. A Clunking noise started stright away, got home and i had bent my alloy wheel and there seems to be oil (might be brake) all over my drive. luckily my tyre's ok! Really annoyed as a new wheel (18in 6 spoke) is £203 + vat from Lexus and then i need to find where the oil is coming from. Going to claim from the council as when i went up taking pictures the hole measured 8 inch deep. Just wondering is it worth paying and hoping i get my money back, or claim off my insurance £250 excess (protected no claim :)) and then claim that back from the council?? Any thoughts! Thanks Phill
  4. after getting mine fixed, its started to play up again. last week i left my interior light on and my battery died.....i jumped the battery and the cd player works fine now :$ weird. So give that a try, disconnect your battery to reset everything pp
  5. ha ha same happened to me, something to laugh about now tho! All my tools got abit damp but there fine now!
  6. Has any one got a spare one of these for sales?? Pref. a Pro-lex one. http://www.prolex-uk.com/store/product_inf...products_id=871 Thanks Phill
  7. I think your alloys would look nice in a dark grey, would go well with the colour of your car. But to be honest ive been thinking of modding mine, but can bring myself to it as i love my Lex just the way it is! I have been upgrading rather than modding, eg brakes, spark plugs and other stuff in the engine bay! Phill
  8. Ive just spent about £400 getting a service plus new parts and tyres etc and when i start in the morning white smoke comes from mine! Wouldnt worry too much, like you say the cold weather isnt helping, just do what i do....worry when it doesnt drive right lol Phill
  9. One way of checking if its the head gasket is obviously keep an eye on your temp dial and check to see if the heater is blowing cold air when it should be hot! just an idea but have you ever thought that it might be a car in front of you that smells of burning?? ive done this before as my heater was set to take air from outside, i switched it to from engine and the smell went!!! Phill
  10. email me and ill send you info. i know a guy who has 3 but im getting 1 for myself. £75 with tyre including postage i think Phill
  11. That looks excellent, if you decide to make anymore pop them on ebay and ill be the first to buy! post pics when fitted pal!
  12. Exactly the same as i got, in fact from the same seller too! Just 2 bulbs!! to change, Remove caps that hold boot carpet on, on the underside of boot. Remove 4 8mm bolts, 1 on either end (2 total) and 2 from the boot lock (1 on each side). From outside pull (with force) the strip where the boot lock and reg bulbs are, try and push the bolt threads from behind as this helps. Pop the reg bulb covers away from body work and the rest you will suss! Phill
  13. Just changed them, took about 1 hour and look brill! No hazzard sign on the dashboard either Phill
  14. Cheers pal, will give it a try!! Phill
