Hey lads i have a problem with my tez im no mechanic but ive tried pretty much all i can myself to fix it, the problem is most of the power in the car car is gone its nowhere near as fast as it used to be and when the car is ticking over it is on the verge of stalling and the when i take off its grand but when i stop again it wants to cut out!, ive changed all the filters replaced the plugs reset the ecu cleaned the maf sensor i dunno what to do now, i live in tallaght, dublin and im wondering who or where is the best place to bring it to get the problem diagnosed, can i bring it to toyota do they have the diagnostic software for these cars cause someone told me they dont? Can anyone reccomend where to bring it someone that ll definitely know whats up with it because i dont think its a mechanical more a electrical problem methinks cheers

Whats the minimum u would take for it? Thats really what it boils down to. You wanna get rid of it quick, Make a very good price on it. Your not a gold member so you wont be able to sell it here Id let it go for bout 12000 And you shouldnt really advertise it as 210bhp cause it wouldnt be, a few of us got ours dyno'ed in March and it wasnt 210. Mine got 196bhp with after market exhaust and induction kit. Unless you have dyno figures to back it up Well thats wat there supposed to be are they not im not too bothered to be honest but you get the drift of it anyway it has got aftermarket stuff altho never been dynod just looking for the best possible way to sell it fast and possible give lads here first dibs on a good deal thats all as from what i can see it pretty much the cheapest aroundthanks noel

Hey lads have had my lovely tezza about a year now love it to bits i have to say its been the best car ive ever had the pleasure of owning, unfortunately i have to sell it as im moving to australia and i hopefully will be able to get another one in the near future over there, im looking to find out what is the best way to sell my car as i really want a quick sale (potential bargain)! Or if any members here are maybe looking for a good honest really cheap rs200 as i need to repay my loans and stuff before i head to oz any help would be great lads cheers :D

Thanks lads for all the help no it just happened all out of the blue i didnt change or mod anything thats why i cant understyand it, Its certainly not as bad when the car is cold the problem seems to be magnified when the car heats up its a really annoying problem, but otherwise the car drives perfect its just when i come to a halt the revs drop and it dies, im gnna try a couple of suggestions like o2 sensors and clean the throttle body and oil change see what happens if not what do you recommend will i bring it to toyota or lexus is there a diagnostics they can connect it to and tell me maybe?

No luck im afraid i have tried running injector cleaner through it now and its still the same im gettin desperate now ive tried pretty much everything i know how to do! Any more suggestions i would be really greatful thanks

It Could well be mate im gonna try that when i get home im also gonna try resetting the ecu and cleaning the maf sensor as i can see from browsing the forums that maybe that might work. Thanks

Just wondering if anyone can help my altezza keeps cutting out and i dont know why, Its a 1998 Rs200 Tiptronic the car starts up fine but when i leave the engine to idle it starts to chug and then it revs drop and die i cant remember at what rpm my car used to idle at but it just keeps dropping and coming back up and then dropping again and the engine dies, this happens every time i slow down or stop at traffic lights and i continiously have to keep starting it up again, but when the car is revving its fine so i dunno what the problem is, any suggestions would be much appreciated as this is highly annoying !!!! As usual i have checke dall the essentials such as engine oil transmission fluid coolant air filter plugs and all and they are all fine and the engine isnt over heating or showing warning lights so im baffled, if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated thanks

alright lads for front mintex brake pads part no mdb1708 64euro, rear mintex pads mdb2008 35 euro,i dont know how cheap this is compared to bringing them in from uk but seems reasonable enough when you consider carriage from uk aswell

hey lads you can get mintex pads cheap in any motor factors in dublin cost you about 40 euro a set i can post the part numbers and all tomorrow when im back from work and ill check the price too!!
