Hi All, Anyone know how easy it is to replace a bulb behind the centre console? I can no longer see the outside temp readout at night so i can no longer set the temperature/climate control without turning the interior light on! If its not too tricky does anyone have any photos/tips on how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi all, Just got my car back from Westfield Motors in Rayleigh, after an A Service, plenty more work to be done, but i must say the service there is excellent and i would deff recommend them to anyone in the Essex area and beyond. Wifes cars now having an MOT there today. Also finally got my drivers side window fixed so no more embarrasment at Dartford Tunnel!

Crikey is that really true that the aerial doesnt just go all the way up all the time???

Hi there, Can anyone here inform me as to wether a 95 GS300 & the same in a LS400 have the same interiors, specifically the seats/armrests. My reason is i want to find a breaking LS400 so i can take the Rear centre armerest and plant it in my GS300 so i can finally have cup holders in the back. Also it would be good to know for any spares issues in the future. Cheers Guys

Hi All, Happy New Year to you all. On many trips last year my rear passengers all complained of no cup holders in the back which is a shame considering we seemed to have every other extra, and my wife always tells me "Even ive got some in my Yaris". I think im right in saying the Mk2 has a centre armrest in the back that has pop out cup holders like we do in the front. Can someone confirm this for me and also if i managed to find one could it fit in my car? Cheers

Hi, I know i have air in the system as i hear it gurgling. This is due to a small leak at the top of the rad. However it doesnt overheat and the temp guage stays just below half way. Surely the fan wouldnt stay on all the time?

Hi, If youre talking about the radiator fan, mine also runs all the time. Spookily enough i also have mine serviced at Westfield. I must admit though i dont know wether its supposed to do that or not???

Hi all, I seem to be getting a faint whistling noise (not a buzz or hum) when im pressing the accellerator. It only happens every now and again and only since the cold snap...any ideas?

Phew, Had an oil leak at the 'back' end of the engine a few weeks back so booked it in at Westfield Motors Lexus Specialists (my regular garage) to be looked at. Always top notch service there and i trust them implicitly. I had read on the forum here that it might be an engine out problem but apparently not. They did a great job for me with 10 hours labour (gearbox out!) and also fixed a manifold problem while they were there. Total of £600 which i thought was good considering the amount of time they spent on it. Also i needed 3 new tyres so there goes another £300 (2 pirellis & a budget for the spare). But.....the car is now running lovely and i wouldnt change it for the world (maybe another Lotus Esprit!) *** knows how much i could have spent at Lexus!!!!!!

I was quite surprised that the can was £39.99 from Halfords, why so much?

Hi, Can any of you guys out there give me some idea of how to get the drivers side door panel off of my Mk1 GS300. Ive got an issue with the window not going down. Bry C very kindly lent me a replacement switch panel to see if it was the switches but infortunately it wasnt so now im looking at testing the window motor with a view to replacement and i rather do it myself. Ive had all the screws out but i want to check if there are any others and where the plastic studs are so i dont break any. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Brett

Hi there, my window switch has packed up (hopefully its not the motor). Unfortunately i cant tell as its the drivers window. Im ok to have a look and clean up the switch if thats what it is as ive already tackled this problem when i had a Lotus Esprit. However im not sure how i get the switch unit including the wood surround out. Ive had a screwdriver in there but dont want to break it. Anyone know the best way to get to it? Im hoping to do this today as ive got to go through Dartford tunnell tomorrow and dont want to look a right plum at the toll booth! Cheers
