  1. I'm just a plain loner then! :D On a bad note I parked in milton keynes in a £1 an hour space (never been there before) had a space either side and behind me. came back 2 hours later and some *** ***** *** ** ****** **** **** **** ***** had scraped the rear bumper! luckily nearly all of is polished out just a very minor scratch.
  2. I'd back them and buy one! all I need now is some money! ahah, I have a plan so cunning you could pin a tale on it and call it a wheezle!!!! I'll be back later!?
  3. I had my alloys done over a year ago. had them done by a local alloy specialist. they did my old car aswell. cost £200 for all 4 and they were two tone as in the face (that is usualy diamond cut) is bright silver and the back is dark silver. they are still like new. I wash them every week with car shampoo (no abrasives and no acids, eg wheel cleaners) and once a year I wax them with car wax. my old car's wheels lasted three years and I'm sure these will last longer.
  4. Not unless your Kaz! I got 360 miles to the last tank and that was bad because I had a seized on caliper! that worked out at 26MPG! I've just got 300 miles and the needles between 1/2 and 1/4 full. Spark plugs nee dchanging at 60K and O2 sensors can go. check those first. PS. 300 miles to a tank should work out at around 20MPG. Is that right?
  5. To think video games were invented.... LOL. Oh well I wont be buying the new playstation now that I've found this game! :D
  6. I want one too so if you can do a group buy, im in.

  8. LOL it's very interesting about the oil filters.
  9. here you go. Ive put the pics on so you don't have to click the link nice car Welcome :D
  10. If I lower the car though I will lose ride quality. You are right, but do you think you already lost some? I realy felt the difference from 15's when I put on my 18's. Tighter response but more road noise and I think it has helped along the demise of the anti roll bar bushes. Lowering looks great on these big cars but it will undoubtedly accelerate the wear of the upper and lower control arms because they will be working all the time at an angle and pre-load they were designed to go to momentarily then spring back to neutral from. I had the same thing on my Ka (don't laugh it was long ago ) with the lowering of the front making the bushing in the U/J on the front wishbones last only just over a year, standard ride height Ka's would last 3-4 years on one set. anyone else seen accelerated wear from chaging ride height? Thats interesting. I never thought about that. I am still keen to stiffen up my IS though as it's not amazing at handeling.
  11. factory fitted HIDs = a lot of money IS300 came with HID's in the UK. the HID light from lexus is aparently different to normal halogen so the wing (or inner wing, not sure wich) needs modifying. make sure that the one above (looks really nice though) will fit with no mods on your altezza (IS200) PS. aparently the Altezza didn't have the level function (controled from the cabin) on the lights so there lights are slightly different to the (IS200) I think the case and lenses are the same though.
  12. It's very brave of you to reply but I'm glad you did. I have posted before about the fact that most religions arnt bad and based on the same things it's just some interpret it the way they like and bring in bad teachings. I know from religious studies that Islam is a peacefull religion when folowing Muhammed's teachings, It's just a shame some profess to be muslim but don't do what Islam teaches. I can't believe that journalists pick on things like that when both George bush and Tony blair profess to be christian, attend chuch occasionaly and they still go out and fight wars; where in the bible does it say that Jesus urged his folowers to fight in any war or even say war is fine? how are they different to these muslim extreemists because of this?
  13. you may need a new barrel, aparently there £80 and can be cut for your old keys so no other keys need replacing. what position is the barrel in, ACC lock ect ect.....?
  14. My wife gets annoyed that she has to walk so far all the time because I park where no one else parks at the opposite end of the car park. On the up side, im fitter( ) and my lex loves it.
  15. It looks like just the back of the tray is hanging down so I am trying to find out what fixings they have to hold it up. Are they bolted, screwed, have split pins or some other Jap genius fixing? Many thanks
  16. here here, I agree with all of that. I love my car and think it's great. I like the fact that there not common and that you have something special, like your own little secret that you just want to tell everyone about.
  17. If you do get a quote off them, go to the web site of the car company they recomend and 9 times out of 10 it's cheaper if not ring them up. Go direct, it's cheaper.
  18. ohh, there's a sight every Lex owners see's all too often! LOL
  19. I'll even let you stroke my leg if it turns you on ............... lol, dont take offence if I pass on that offer! :D Far to hairy! news travels fast about you Kazi! I didn't realise you was that imfamous!? :duh:
  20. I thought I was not going to be able to get them! At £30 I bet yoru not that fussed mate! true It's not really worth it for me anyway because mine is nearly always clean unlike your heap! do you ever wash it? :P
  21. Good idea, I never thought about getting a second hand ECU. I don't know if that works but Im sure someone will let you know. I would think you could get masters keys cut using your vallet key and just reprogram your vallet to the donor ECU using the master key from the donor car. that way no need of changing barrels, just ECU.
  22. This may help, click on me.
  23. I thought I was not going to be able to get them!
  24. It's a Lexus, people should pay you a fiver for cleaning your car! :D (Well the old lex advert made out that people would, do you remember it?) by the way the car looks great. :D
  25. if you only have the Valet, you will need a new ECU or the old one fleashed (flashing is not easy to comeby, you'll have to speak to loads of locksmiths, cost's, apaarently, £500) A new ECU is £2000 from Lexus! you will not need a new barrels or locks because a master key blade can be cut from a vallet key. The valet profile is different but the cut channel in the centre is the same for master and valet, what stops the valet key working in the dash and boot barel is because its about 2mm narrower, here's a diagram looking at the end, valet on left, master on right The master Key has remote boot opening and alows the car to have a new key (master and Valet) programed for the car.
