  1. My link this 220d makes this sound at at startup, for about 30-40secs - seems to be coming form the glovebox area...what can this be? anyone else ever heard something like this??? thanks!!
  2. of course - thats what more torque feels like. however, Im the sole owner of a 250 in my town except for my dad, while theres quite a few 220's thanks to the taxes here - and whenever a 220 tries to race, they fail... just tested the F last week though - that things got torque for real!
  3. its got a smooth steel pipe instead of the OEM plastic one to help increase and smooth out airflow, is got a K&N like drop in filter, and it comes with a new lower airbox with two openings instead of one to further let more air through. they claim around 6HP increase, but the sound it makes is just amazing! try a search for f-sport IS250 on youtube - should give you an idea.
  4. Not far from the Arctic circle then? What do you drive in the winter? ahahaha - in fact about a 8 hour drive north to the arctic circle...its a looong country... I drive my 250 of course - its perfect! way better than my old IS200
  5. Been around here for some time, but never gotten around to introduce myself. And no better way todo that than to post some fresh pics eh? NEW PICS TAKEN WITH SLR ADDED TODAY 2006 Onyx Black IS250 Luxury. 35% tinted windows allround. OEM Sport Pedals. F-Sport Air Intake F-Sport 19inch rims mounted today! ;) Chrome grille surrounding painted matte black the intake is awesome btw, my stereo has been "off" ever since I had it installed last week..... ;) oh yeah, Im 29 and from the middle of Norway! Lars.
  6. hey tango, thats exactly what I was going to do to mine aswell. Where did you get the parts? I've seen the pedals on ebay, but they were like 200... do you even feel any difference with the sport springs? Im getting them purely for looks...expecially when fitting bigger rims soon.. Lars.
  7. du kunne jo bare spurt meg over MSN....ahahah but anyways, for norway: Sport: sits about 0.8 cm lower in the front, and is supposed to be a little stiffer. ( I cant feel the difference - my dad has a sport, and I a Luxury) Comes with the 18' wheels, instead of the 17' on the luxury Has alum. pedals as standard. Plastic/alum look interior pieces. Luxury: wooden interior pieces. +Power rear window sun shade. +illumnated scuff plates / door sills. the rest is the same. ¨ I would never get the non-navi one and try install the OEM unit later I believe the whole dash config is different, and would require huge modification.. Lars.
  8. Theres a clip on youtube that shows the procedure for hacking the navi on the US IS350. it goes like,PRESS: MENU - VOLUME - UPPER LEFT - LOWER LEFT CORNER X 4. this enables the possibillity to use the navi and phone commands while moving. anyone know if theres another similar "cheat code" for the Euro Spec IS250?` dont feel like opening the consol and tamper with wires and shisel. thanks, Lars.
  9. whereabout are you in norway? up here in trondheim we have a couple of rx400h's rolling around as taxi's - but never seen a IS.
  10. its the z-edition altezza grille, with the "L" from a 02'+ IS grill. minor modification needed to fit emblem. this is what i looks like from toyota - with the standard "A" emblem: L.
  11. grills are just a matter of taste - as far as mine - its changed at least 3 times in the last 1,5 years... heres my latest set-up:
  12. yeah I know the US 300 is available in MT, but my 200 is a MT, and I want a AT now. I really wanted to know if the US spec and Euro 300 is different performance vise - AT vs AT? I also know about the fog mod for the Euro Spec's, but im getting a US spec which already has the inner lights as brake lights...just wondering about the regulations in Europe for this. thanks again.
  13. hey fellas, i've decided to wait with the 2nd gen IS a couple more years, and rather do the 200-300 upgrade this spring. Ive got a couple of Q's lined up; performance: I've seen alot of different performace specs around - I know the MT is faster, but I've also seen differences among the AT tested. Is there a difference between the US spec 300 and the EURO spec 300 performace vise? I've also heard that the 300's handling isnt as great as the 200's - due to the heavier engine resulting in a bad understeer. Any truth to this? Legal issues - I know the US spec 300's has a different front and rear lighting set-up, as with the rear fogs beeing brakelights, the yellow front fogs. Is this going to be a problem when importing? I guess there might be different rules and regulations in different countries, but please share your predictions! Thanks alot fellas. L.
