  1. OE Dunlops very quiet so Pirelli's slightly worse, but not bad. As I said, developed for Jaguar so well suited to Lexus. The DHP wasn't meant to be super sporty, just look better and be a little sharper and more agile. However, people took to it and at one point it was making up 25% of LS sales ! book sez 33 fr/39 rr. or 30/30 with 4 peeps. up to 100 mph. up to 140 mph -that's you.....38/44 or35/35 w/4 peeps.. up to full loaded weight .....fat peeps plus bags? 44/49 225/60 r16 97w Must check mine tomorrow. Got wheels refurbished recently..... For use in the UK, always use the 4 people, up to 100mph figures - those superhigh values are 5 people plus luggage at max speed in Germany. I suggest: 225/60x16 set at 30 psi F+R, 235/45x17 set at 33 psi F+R and 245/50x17 at 33 psi F+R for cars up to 99. Add 3 psi for "sporty driving" or speeds over 100mph.
  2. Hi, I am the guy who did DHP spec for LS 400. For reference - Spring rate + 10% only, Height -10mm all round, rear anti roll bar + 1mm to aid turn in. Tyres Pirelli P Zero 245/50x17 Jaguar spec( XK8?). No change to dampers. Car was done to please Lexus MD, but dealers liked it so we began to sell it ! Ride wasn't bad, but clearly firmer than std. Any other tyre make much worse. If you want ride quality back, just fit standard springs again. Note- front suspension quite close to bump stoppers, so ride will suffer if springs have sagged with time. Hope this helps.
