  1. I had my rear doors and rear window done and here's my plus's ...... My rear screen shattered 6 months after getting it gone (rear screen heater fault (we think)) but due to it having the tint film on it stayed in one piece, we all know how messy shattered glass can be, it also remained water tight and allowed me to drive around for 2 days until the local Autoglass ordered the replacement. :) Also have rear DVDs for the children and it means the picture isn't affected by the sun. Oh and it looks cool.
  2. I have an iTrip and it's not very good, seems to pick up the auto gear box noise ????
  3. I am unsure, but me first thought would be how would the car know who was holding the key ? It would be a neat trick though :)
  4. If the caliper needs replacing ? then the discs will want replacing then the pads you are looking @ £900-£1000 @ Lexus. Sorry
  5. D'oh! Yeah, long day! What I meant to say is that their is lots of four letter words you could use to describe the ISs fuel consumption! I know what you mean :D :D
  6. Good Afternoon I saw this link on the main lexusownersclub.co.uk page Prestige Servicing Just a couple of quick questions : Has anybody used this service ? Will the B Service do everything I would get done at a Lexus main dealer (80000 miles) Where the closest to Middlesbrough is ? Thanks Chris :)
  7. FYI pants is Five letters But I agreed £10 is really not worth it you'll be lucky if the needle gets above a quarter and not much more than 70 miles
  8. I took out a policy with 'warranty direct' last Sept, cost me about £250 and covers everthing that a Lexus warranty would and repairs can be carried out by Lexus dealerships. So far I havent made a claim but independent reviews are good for them. P.S dont accept their 1st quote they will keep phoning/writing to you each time dropping the price. Good luck.. Willowwood is there a maximum £ per claim on the warrenty ? Thanks
  9. Click the display button on the remote it then gives you menu can't remember what it's titled by it's the option on the right change to day mode and it will stay bright all the time. :) :)
  10. After already having my stereo fixed under warrenty for the dreaded err3, I have now lost another 2 CD the player. Brough a brand new CD (Jo Whileys Live Lounge) put the CD in and all I could hear was the CD spinning. tied to eject it, the lights last it makes a few noises then nothing except the number of where the CD was placed has disappeared it ejected the rest of the CD, so stupidly I thought I'd put one back in and exactly the same happened. So the display now says no discs. Is there anyway I can get them out. ? Thanks
  11. :D Good News, you might want to have a look at this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/glouces...ire/6213894.stm
  12. RR, I think in the main aftermarket ones are better for POI (speed cameras etc) I understand your point that unfortunately we live in a society where such things can't be left in situ. I have a Lexus system and I have just had the pop-up (screen) part replaced under warranty, the cost of which was £2895.00 :o :o :o yes that 2 at the begining is supposed to be there mind you £95 of that was for labour :D !!! Another good reason for not getting one.
  13. My Nokia kit (112) stays connected if you turn the engine off, until the call has ended. Alternativly if I want to leave the car, when I look in the bluetooth connection menu in my phone and goto paired devices it has the ability to diconnect this then puts the call back on the handset. Probably depends on the model though. :)
  14. Mike Firstly sorry, because I suspect I have asked you this already but which items on the list are plug n play : - Rear pulsing brake bulbs - LED front & rear indicators - LED dual parking lights/indicators - Sidelights - Door marker kits - already fitted and 1st class thanks again - Interior bulbs already fitted and 1st class thanks again Thanks Very Much, also can you let me know the prices Regards Chris
  15. The brake judder could be caused by a seized calliper, which could be warping the disc.
  16. Where you get your car converted to LPG and was it worth it. Thanks, sorry for going
  17. MacRS200, do you know how much approx the Dr charges ?
  18. Steve, a word of caution, I once had a "Dash Rattle" on a 306 DTS, I was convinced it was behind the glovebox, stripped it and found nothing, it was only on tickover if stood still. I eventually traced it to the engine, a clip had broken and a cable was knocking on the bulkhead.
  19. I had a similar problem with my 200, parked in the same spot outside the house for 6 or so months then one day, NOTHING from any of the keys, went into the house checked the forum and interferance seemed to be the main explanation. I openned the car with the key and with the alarm blaring set off to work. 10 seconds later alarm stops and I carry onto work. Once at work get I got out of the car and locked it as normal, locked and unlocked it several times without problem. Got home at night and it wouldn't lock, jumped in the car drove into the next street and hey presto it locked !!! Went back home NOTHING. Totally frustrated I just walked around the car trying and trying, then when I was stood next to the fuel filler cap click it locked. Pushing my luck click it unlocked but only if stood at the filler cap. Locked it and went in the house thinking right first thing tomorrow it's back to Lexus. Next morning went out it openned without a problem and touch wood the problem has'nt happened since,it was a totally mad 2 days. Summery : I think it wikll just pass and interferance is probably to blame. Good Luck
