  1. hi, got no joy from lexus Leeds, they said they wont change the injectors as they have had no instruction from Lexus GB there is a problem. the service manager at lexus sheffield has told me the chap at lexus poole who started the changing of the injectors 'does not work for lexus anymore' i really dont know what to do now, the remap got me an extra 1/2 mpg and 6th is more usable. those of you who have had the injectors changed.. how did you convince your dealer to do it???
  2. Jamboo how did you get your dealer to change the injectors, Leeds are still not going to do it until Lexus GB give an instruction.
  3. my car doesnt stall at all and i always use premium fuel, ive tried all styles of driving and different gears yet still not more than 40mpg its such a dissapointment that lexus poole are happy to sort the problem yet leeds cant/wont unless lexus gb instruct. just have to see what happens.
  4. Well ive been on to my dealer (leeds) again and there still not interested with this injector problem, ive written to Lexus GB but no reply yet, those of you that have had the injectors changed what tactics did you use to get it to happen, i just keep getting fobbed off. and really getting down about this legendary lexus service.
  5. Ive just spoken to Lexus Leeds where i got the car and there service manager informes me that only the 5th injector is changed when there is an engine management system change/problem, he went on to say there are no ways of improving mpg only using quality fuel which i do?? any other thoughts?
  6. Ive put 12500 miles now on my IS220D SE and am still only returning upto a maximum of 40mpg on motorway driving cruising at about 75-80. has anyone heard from the dealers if there are any ways of improving economy? i run on texaco or shell wich does return better mpg that supermarket fuel but i was expecting a little more now the engines worn in.
  7. I picked up my new is220d on wednesday with a full tank of fuel, i do maily motorway miles and on the first tank im doing about 34 to the gallon, i know the cars new but does anyone know how long it will take to loosen up and i might start getting some decent mpg??? thanks
