  1. obviously has not checked the pressures for a good few months
  2. send a link to ngk - they will tell you 1 way or the other.
  3. why??? it makes no sense at all. they guy has a US spec IS300 so why would he want to put a 2 litre in? also BEAMS means nothing - i guess you mean the 3s-ge but beams also applies to the 1g-fe . I would get a second opinion of the engine from a different garage to be honest - especially if the garage runs the engine without any coolant i would avoid them!
  4. dont bother with this topic lads, he has already been given the info he needs in the others posts he has made.
  5. i have already given you the answer in your other posting about exactly the same subject.
  6. discs wil fit but look at mintex discs as they can be cheaper
  7. Ishmael, If you found my posting offensive and rude towards you then that would suggest you have had a fairly sheltered life as nothing contained within my posting has been offensive. Daily i recieve emails along the same lines as your posting asking for people to be "agents" etc when in all reality its just a scam and someone trying to extort money. Your original posting was very unclear and quite vague as to what you actually wanted and as such that resulted in the type of replies from myself and other forum members. Only after reading your 5th reply is it clear of your originl intention. I wish you luck with your search.
  8. firstly i would swap coil pack 5 with another position and see if the fault position changes - it should.
  9. wouldnt it make more sense to find out whats wrong rather than bypassing the fault?
  10. i would tell them to stick it.... so waht if the disc has a lip - whats the thickness of the disc, thats what counts! I remember 1 member on here had a safety report after his sercive and it said the pads were 70% worn, strange thing is he had replaced them himself less than 6 months beforehand! when challenged the service manager claimed it must have been a mistake and they were not worn at all.
  11. As above, when i was in the UK i had all 4 of the original wheels refurbed including the diamond cut finish for 60 per wheel, so I would say that 65 + vat is a bit expensive
  12. the problem occurs when disks have been put on without a thin smear of copper or ceramic grease on the hub flange and then you need an angle drinder to cut a piece out of the disc hub to get it off as its rusted.
  13. where are you based as that will assist us with your request.
  14. as above.. you can not remap the is200 ECU! Any company saying they can is lying. The only option is to get a piggy back ECU or a standalone unit.
  15. yep - same thing. When i recieved the links from the above guy, i bought some thin locking nuts as the ones supplied are quite thick and there is less than 1 thread protuding from the nut. When fitting new links make sure to put some copper slip on the threads of the shaft and also to fill the allen key hole with copper grease, so when you need to change them in future it will be an easy job!
  16. thanks for the promt reply barry, i will forward this info to mr.mole as he cant log in. If that fails i will suggest he contacts steve. you can close this topic if you wish.
  17. yep as above - ask them to explain the £250 cost for the plugs, and did they ask you before changing the pads and discs??? lexus make a fortune when changing disks on the labour rate, it takes a maximum of 30 mins to change the discs and pads inc taking the wheels off! but you get chanrged the full hour.
  18. cheers 4 the pic johnny! its the same style as the TTE version.
