  1. Have you considered these? http://tinyurl.com/yuwnrj I have clear mats in my beige interior is250 and they look really good
  2. I have the Sport in Black - stunning when just washed, but a pig to keep clean However, IMHO no colour to beat it...makes the car look 'lean 'n mean' B)
  3. Had my letter this morning... Just got to decide whether to take it to Wolverhampton or Birmingham. Does anybody know, have Lexus Birmingham moved to their new site yet, or are they still at Sutton Coldfield?
  4. I have just read the blurb on the 250 and it has auto-open when you press and hold the open button on the remote (happened to me once on a 3 series I had thought someone was nicking the car as I was in the garage at the time!) Strangely it seems the car doesn't have auto-closure though but I can't test if this is true 'till I get my car - 13 days and counting!!!! Rich. Thanks for your replies. I have experimented with the remote, and you are right...after a few seconds of pushing the open button, the whole lot opens up. The reverse is true with an extended blip of the close button...apart from having to slam the boot shut.
  5. Had just given my IS250 Sport a good wash yesterday and was spraying off the suds with my pressure washer, when all of a sudden the hazard warning lights flashed a couple of times and then all 4 windows opened fully, the sunroof slid open....and the bootlid clicked open!!! Now this is not an ideal situation when you have a light beige interior which doesn't cope well with water dripping in through every orifice. I had the key remote in my pocket, but to my knowledge had not pressed anything by accident...and in any case I dont think you should be able to do this with one 'blip' of a button. Does anyone know what might have caused this? P.S Luckily the interior dried out stain-free!
  6. I'd say Yes! My house was built Nov 2000 and is definitely on the Sat Nav. Are there any later developments on the map ? I would expect the map to be no older than 18 months, it's possible that your address may have been missed during the compilation - is it a private road ? I'm on a large David Wilson development...but the last 34 houses on our road (built 1999/2000) do not exist according to the sat nav. Throws the system right out on outgoing journeys!
  7. The Sat Nav on my 250 Sport is stunning...apart from the fact it does not recognise my home address. The house was built in September 1999! In fact, the sat nav tells me I have arrived at my destination when I am about half a mile away. My house is not out 'in the sticks' but part of a modern estate. Should I be going back to the dealership for some sort of update?
  8. First Post...so 'Hi' to all! I test drove a 250 Sport at Birmingham Lexus and was told that there was a 3 month waiting list for my desired spec of black with beige interior. Searching through approved pre-owned cars on the Lexus site, I found a demonstrator in desired colour with 2800 miles + MM + sunroof... shall we say 'substantially discounted ' from the new price. The car is now on my drive, and apart from what is on the odo you wouldn't be able to distinguish it from a new car. So I reckon I got a great discount on a car that shouldn't have been made available for another month (+ got free Supaguard inside and out) :D One Happy New Lexus Owner!
