  1. Any help much appreciated as I am a complete novice when it comes to technical issues. I have an LS400 1999 and replaced the battery 3 months ago with a new approved heavy duty one from my local Lexus dealer. Went out this morning and car completely dead - no lights other than the flashing security light on the dash. It would appear that one of the kids didn't completely close one of the rear doors overnight. Would this be enough to completely drain the battery? Can I simply recahrge it? Do I need to replace it? Or is there something else I may be missing? The reason the battery was recently changed was for the same symptoms although that time no doors had been left open etc Thanks in anticipation
  2. William The LS400 owners manual can be ordered from your main dealer. I managed to get Lexus Poole to order me one recently Part Nr - LOM50534E and cost £9.04 + VAT Only thing is does not include in the manual is the Sat Nav system which is covered in a manual issued with the CD's for the system. Most of what you probably want is contained within the manual though.
  3. Hi my name is Pat and I recently acquired a 1999 mk4 LS400. even though it has over 100k on the clock it is still very much a pleasure to drive, and hopefully will be for years to come. thanks to Mr Morse and chips229 for your responses to my post on the wheels and tyres forum - a complete technical ignoramus like me can start looking for new wheels for the car. Advice much appreciated.
  4. Any feedback appreciated as I am totally ignorant when it comes to anything slightly technical. I have a 1999 LS400 and currently have the standard (?) 16" wheels with 225/60/16 tyres. My queries are 1. Can 17" wheels be fitted without any adjustment? and 2. What offset (et) should I be looking at? I believe the standard is 50mm (?) therfore assume a 45mm offset will be okay ? Many thanks
