  1. janspeed didnt do anything to it other than remove the mechanical bypass and fit a vacume bypass, it is in all repects exactly the same as the original TTE kit
  2. the second fan is the aircon fan, when the aircon is running, so should the second, smaller fan, it comes on only as needed
  3. if i remember rightly they were limited to 54, one for each dealer in the UK at the time. the styling parts were fitted at port of entry (Bristol)
  4. Yup upto 2000 they came fitted with dunlops, but there was some issues with the tyres suitability with the car so they were changed as a brand to the Bridgestones my 2000 model had dunlops, my 2001 and 2004 cars had bridgestone
  5. no not really i had the TEIN coilovers fitted, which are coming off, and i fitted the toyota double din fascia, which, is coming out, it was mostly mechanical work to keep it running sweet, but to be honest i just want to move onto something a bit newer regards the "power" thing, thats a huge part of it, but in this case its not all of it as the better half will be using it more than me.......and i dont think i will be keeping this GS300/430 that long, just untill i am settled in a new job then will look at a much newer GS
  6. ah ...really ...the expansion tank on the IS is part of the fan housing, not part of the radiator
  7. I think the time has come to get rid of the 96 Mk1 GS and get something different, i have 2 options a sport mk2 3 litre without nav or an SE mk2 4.3 with nav both look decent cars, and both are very cheap, on paper the fuel consumption looks similer but whats the real world difference like 3 litre 4.3 litre
  8. yup the later supra vvti turbo or earlier non turbo supra diff will fit, as will the US IS300 differential
  9. is the mk1 and mk 2 radiators the same or similer......im looking at getting a mk2 and scrapping my mk1 with a brand new radiator coolant pump and hoses
  10. i was under the impression that Camcon didnt work on the is200
  11. an is200 gearbox is fine, but you need the altezza bell housing and then you will need to put the shifter mount into the second possition....(.clear when the box is on the floor) you will need to change the oil pickup and the sump, the distributer will need removing and you will need to go for full electronic ignition as the distributer will foul on the bulkhead, there are a few other bits and bobs if you need to know, just ask the is200 diff and propshaft can handle an incredible amount of torque and power...so need to worry there, i am still running a std diff in my car......after a Kaaz 2 way blew up!! i am running 540hp
  12. very impressive, like your attention to detail...nice one!!
  13. Remember though, your is a LHD european model, they were built with a different specification, so a UK sport is not the same as a Euro model
  14. it should be a pipe that is re-inforced and lined to be used with oil, silicon type hose is not suitable unless specifically marked up for use with oil, get the right length and it just pushes onto the barbed ends of the metal tube....there should be a pirtek place nearby and they normally can sort you out
  15. I take it you mean the crank case breather? That's just a vent, not a vacuum line. Mine runs into a catch can, but you can just put a small filter on instead which is cheaper and easier. But it won't make any difference to how the engine runs. the crankcase breather needs to be connected to vacume to draw out the heavy vapour, even if you are using a catch can (which is pretty pointless on a car like this) then the catch can needs connecting to the induction just fitting a button filter is a big no no, it would become filled with flammable oil vapour and can cause a fire Just as a side note, i witnessed a test a few years ago now where the standard induction was compared to some aftermarket filter set ups, the OEM set up flowed the same, if not better than some of the aftermarket filter set ups, the engine performed better in all but high RPM / high speed however asthetically, they do look better
  16. are you thinking of wrapping the tube, as it will absorb heat. it would be much more effective, even better than the OEM filter and induction if you box and feed cold air to the filter, hot air reduces engine efficiency
  17. the pipe part number is 44402-53020 (x2 rubber and 1x metal) but if there is a hose place nearby like Pirtek give them a bell
  18. unfortunatley i havnt moved back to Manc just yet, but if its a rubber hose which is perished there is enough "slack" for it to be cut back and re used, i do have about a meter of the stuff but thats not going to help now, if the hose is perished med way then a decent motor factors should be able to get it for you, worse case scenario, just remove the rubber pipes and loop one back on itself by passing the cooler, its a short term fix, but it will work
  19. Been away for a while, and i llike it, but then there has possibly been about 3 updates while i have been away....looks good
  20. i sent you a message about this last christmas, blooming annoying not being able to find some old topics...lol
  21. i have one brand new, but could be made to flog it
