  1. Can't see it being a big issue, short of the obvious parts needed.... Gearbox Clutch Flywheel Prop Clutch pedal, cylinder and line Trim around gear selector Instrument cluster The big issue is tricking the auto ecu to think the car is in neutral, which is a simple modification, looking at the manual and auto ecu pin outs there are only a couple of differences, But, if you was going to do it I would just buy a crashed manual and swap everything over.......much simpler, and could easily be done within a day......including the loom!,
  2. it will cost as much as it costs, i would budget at around 6k
  3. Wow, i would be very interested in more images of this car...very interesting indeed, how did you come across the car Just had a quick Google, i can only see reference to 2 only having been made?
  4. Thankfully im not paying, so that aspect wont bother me...... from the pre event info i have seems to be a fair bit going on, will see, i go down tommorow with the car.....so anyone see me between Manchester and NEC, give me a hoot
  5. anyone going, i will be there with the Monster in the main arena
  6. as Tigerfish says......you have just discharged your aircon......nice one if your not sure stay away from the tools!!
  7. Well after a few years sat doing nothing, or being abused by people that asked to use the car, i have finally got round to cleaning it up, and bringing it back to life for the 2013 season, The Monster is alive once again.. it will have its first outing next week at TOP GEAR LIVE where it will be driven by Shane Lynch (Boyzone fame). i will be there to support the car and Shane as part of Team Japspeed
  8. i was running std diff welded up, i do have a KAAZ 2 way diff sat in a spare case in the garage, but it looks like we will be swapping to supra rear end now
  9. the car is currently being stripped down and rebuilt before being taken to the far east in november for a corporate opening of a new race track, tommorow i start the preperation for paint
  10. Shagpile you say lately, i saw my cars on the ship at Portbury when they were imported in 1999, 2000 and 2001 all were straped using towning eyes and wheel chocks, as were the other cars on the ship, according to my body collision damage book the oval hole is called "inspection hole" the point i was making though is that that hole is blind, it only gives access to the box section and wouldnt be good for running wires through, or wise to leave it off as a side point there are similer holes on the bigger toyotas (landcruiser, hilux etc etc) that are used for tieing down
  11. if you only changed the diff there shouldnt be an issue, unless the diff you fitted had a different crown wheel and pinion, there is a fix for aftermarket crown wheels in that you take a speed pulse from the front abs sensor (right) grey wire in drivers side footwell, you would need to get the wire diagrams to identify this, this is a mod i did many years ago when i fitted 180mph TTE speedo cluster
  12. everything is the same, less the obvious, body panels, and interior trim, and glass
  13. You can fit a lsd into the standard altezza diff housing, and the std diff will hold the power i have been running 550hp through a std is200 diff since 2004, the is200 output shafts are 4 bolt and they have had no problems, the altezza shafts are 6 bolt so are inherintly stronger, if you was to change the crown and pinion the altezza gearbox would read the same speed as the speed sensor is located in the gearbox, however the road speed would be out slightly, i can assure you there is no need to change the final gearing, your issue afterwards will be calibrating the road speed sensor, if its possible to fit the altezza one then that is the best option and it should be correct my car was the first to have the 2jz gte conversion done in Europe the mechanicals of this conversion are simple, in relation to the electronics
  14. if you remove them then you are opening the box sections of the car to the elements, they are there to prevent the formation of rust, the larger grommet will give no access to anything other than inside the chassis leg at the rear.... looking at your pics though, a bit of preventative maint would go down well, a bit of new rustproofing..
  15. The cars are not tied down there during delivery, The small one is a grommet to plug the hole for what is used , or should be used when aligning chassis members, they are located all over the underneath of the car, the larger one is the "inspection/drain" for the chassis box sections, during production when the car goes through the paint process these plugs and grommets are not fitted to allow paint and rustproofing fluids to enter, and excess to run out of the box sections
  16. did you allow the cooling system to bleed itself free of air bubbles
  17. 10" wheels will fit on the back of the GS2
  18. i still have a set of tein coilovers
