  1. oil temp and egt, boost isnt needed when i had 3 fitted to mine when it was supercharged, and then with the 2jz...
  2. my original twins on the monster were custom made, and was really happy with the quality, it was eventually sold to a member on here when i returned to a single straight through...which again is top quality
  3. having your windscreen changed, IS the cause of your problem, the screen has not been installed correctly, and water is getting in at the bottom and running down into the drivers side fuse and relay box causing a short in the relay
  4. in the US there are supercharger kist available for the 2jz, they are aimed specifically for the IS300 but can be fitted to the GS300 with slight modification. it is possible to fit, your problem will be mounting the eaton blower, the obvious place is over the exhaust manifolds. the process will seem complicated, but i know a few people who have fitted superchargers to some pretty strange things..... how good are your fabrication skills
  5. theres a few topics where i have done the swap, but its not the only one... a few have been done
  6. you will be fine, it does basically unbolt, id get a new oil seal though to go back in the face, be carefull when refitting not to damage the oil seal
  7. steve see my last post above yours, exact same symptoms, .....
  8. one on the white car is the same as the one fitted to my IS it is a single piece, ive not seen them available now for a good number of years
  9. check the nut on the end of the driveshaft (wheel end) i had one very slightly loose, on my GS, and the result was the diff was making some terrible noises, once tightened, it was quiet as a mouse..........................this was after i bought another diff to swap in
  10. as ormi says those tyres are too wide for a 7.5 j rim...id avoid, certainly on the front
  11. only the autos had a different ratio, if you let me know whats damaged on your diff i will be able to help, but, the altezza and is200 diffs are interchangable, the internals are interchangable and the half shafts are interchangable
  12. i will look in my bits after christmas, although it should fit no problems, as the splines are the same on the shaft
  13. That is a single unit, to the OP im not sure which 3 piece spoiler you mean?
  14. you can fit a diff from an is200, the only difference is the output/half shafts, which will easily swap over
  15. on one of the cars, i did just that, welded in a new bung
  16. no sound proofing is removed, the short shifter does allow for more ambient noise, you could try repacking its pivot with more grease
  17. and when it was running on Volk wheels i have mixed and matched a few different offsets and wheels though
  18. i found when i put the coilovers on my GS, that the GS was surprisingly easier than most to do suspension work, there was a distinct lack of rusty bits under there
  19. the door card comes of complete, you may be able to just pop it of the studs at the bottom to get to the wire, .....a swift tug should do it no problem
  20. no i dont, i do most of my work myself, however if i needed to i would be more than happy to take it back there, or any other car i own....im thinking of taking the GS into them to get an exhaust made up, as i cant get 3 phase at my work to run my own welder(we have it, but its not set upto a socket) i am still in regular contact with mark and the others at TDI, but on a personal basis and not just business
  21. what do you base that comment on..... i know a few who have been happy, i had alot of the work done on my car there, and were always fair and helpfull yes some have been unhappy, but there are 2 sides to storys, and usually on the tinterweb people only choose to listen to one side............. TDi can be expensive agreed, but there still around and they do good work on very good cars, so they are obviously doing something very right
  22. stav is right, they do the engine no good what so ever, more so on Turbo models
  23. wow stav, surprised you had forgotten my name. Yup i have a set of these, i tried fitting them to my car a long time ago now and cannot remember the reason they wouldn't fit, if you manage to fit them then that is good as i have heard they make a great improvement on turn in.
