  1. The way I understand I didn't run the engine long enough to burn off the excess fuel and it remained there until I tried to start it this morning. I suppose because the weather was cold yesterday that caused the auto choke to 'over compensate'. But Maybe a more techie person might describe it better. Pete
  2. Thanks to all of you. But the AA diagnosed it as being flooded !!! and sure enough it was. It was my fault, yesterday I took it out the garage .... washed it .... and put it back in the garage. The automatic choke got confused and thought it had to allow a lot of fuel in (because it was cold) and hence the flooding. Silly me. But word to the wise, the AA man said that this happens a lot with auto chokes. Still I won't be doing that again. Thanks again folks. Pete
  3. No it does't 'tick' just makes a whining sound. the radio works as do the dashboard lights and security. Strange eh!
  4. I drove my IS200 Sport into my garage last night, no problem. Went to start it this morning and it just whined at me, didn't turn the engine over either. I did wash the car yesterday but didn't open the bonnet. Any of you knowledgable guys and gals have any ideas? before I call the AA.
  5. Well as all the techy questions seem to have been adequatley answered, I think some aesthetics are called for. My Wife and I fell in love with the IS200 and when we saw the sport version there was no option than to fork out the extra. We couldn't wait to get our first Lexus, and the feeling I get when I'm driving it (or looking at it) is just out of this world. In fact it's the only car we've ever WANTED to drive at every opportunity. Buying the sport, I don't really feel obliged to invest in add-ons, it's just perfect as it is. Enjoy what ever Lexus you get. I'm sure you will.
  6. I'm back, now an Astral Black IS200 Sport owner. Am I still grinning .... yep. Does it live up to my expectations .... and then some. Do I take every opportunity to look at / drive it .... you better believe it. Have I cleaned it .... oops not yet. I can honestly say I have never had a driving experience quite like it. There are really no superlatives that can express the way my wife and I feel at the moment. Lexus owners for a whole week. Thanks to the Lexus Owners club and the members and their messages of welcome. Be seeing you
  7. Thanks for the good wishes folks. This coming Saturday is the great day. Still grinning .... notwithstanding the cleaning and I fully intend to post piccys Be seeing you
