  1. Good to see someone has already figured that out.... 1200BHP Veyron PS    You read Max Power
  2. I lost all 4 of mine when it went in for new tyres, didn't notice till afterwards! Are they essentially a trim over the normal valve or are they the valves themselves? Whatever the case, since having 3 sets of caps nicked I'm back to standard black ones now which look fine with the rubber valves themselves
  3. I think an idea of budget will help as it's a pretty open question without it. Also, as as this is the Lexus Owners Club - asking a question like should I buy a Lexus or something different will generally only get one answer, and if you've gone to the trouble of registering then you know what your decision will be as well B)
  4. However, if you turn the brightness dial on the Gen 2 IS dash round fully and click it to the end, the auto dim feature no longer activates and the dials stay fully bright at night - note night and not when the lights come on as the auto dim feature (for the Nav screen as well I'm guessing) works independently of the headlight on point as headlights on and dash dimming occur at two different ambient light levels :) Presuming they are on auto of course
  5. Hope this is not a member ITV News Check at about 40 seconds. Been horrendous here today, had to rescue the kids from school at 11 as it was under water and no one could get near - thank goodness for the usefulness of diesels! 18 inches of water not a problem, as long as you don't get near swamped by an artic doing 30 in the opposite direction
  6. I've reckon they are on all the time in my 220 as well, mirrors constantly covered in dried on muck over the last few weeks and I haven't used the demister once! I'm considering disconnecting them as they cause more visibility problems being constantly dirty than the odd occasion when it's cold and I might have to wipe the frost off them
  7. Report them through ebay, not paypal. They have to respond to the claim within a certain amount of time otherwise you get the money back. The item also disappears so negative feedback isn't a problem. It's in the Resolution centre.
  8. I'm the same, I like all of them and swap and change on a whim. Guiness is missing as well
  9. I had exactly the same happen to me, 10k miles was a step change as was 15k. Very strange, more responsive, smoother with no morror shake at all now apart from the stereo and also added a few to the mpg. I put it down to the service though rather than an in built change, it could be an in built run-in period so as not to stress the engine when new. My recent injector work and remap has also changed the mpg and amazingly the car refuses to drop below 40mpg as an average (tank or normal setting) with pretty much 90% short trips! Can't wait till I hit 30k miles to see what happens then, only 6k to go
  10. I'm sure there are loads but this one will be back at a dealer soon..IS200 Probably back for sale Matches your spec..
  11. I would only ask for something to be done where you had a specific problem. The crack from the dash is fixable and has been covered on here a fair few times, my only worry about them taking the car to pieces to fix one problem is it can invariably cause another. For the standard service you'll be out of the door in two hours with it washed and ready to go, for the dash creak the car will be there a lot longer and could end up having repeat visits... If it's the same as I have I'm not that fussed as it only 'cracks' once and then does no more, if it was a constant noise I'd be more keen to get a fix :)
  12. I hope he was happy with the colour, the car certainly didn't impress him I saw one on the M4 on Friday, looked really nice but oddly I think it needs the sport wheels to really carry it off. EDIT - Forgot to add, got to be a black interior every time. Can't see anything else suiting the colour.
  13. Mine packed up with this problem last week - didn't know it was a repeating issue Took a week to fix as Lex Cov had broken their remap machine but after the fix I have to say it's made a huge amount of difference. The car is loads smoother, picks up more cleanly from lower revs and the consumption has changed remarkably - I now can't average below 40mpg even on mostly urban and on a good run at the weekend to Wales and back I averaged 45 over the whole trip so very happy. If it happens again though I'll be very angry, Coventry assured me it would not happen again as this was a second iteration of the modified part that would not fail repeatedly.
  14. It's cos you're down wiv de street, innit! Fo shizzle. IMHO they look rubbish.
  15. What a load of rubbish! That is the made from the same source pic I used last year when someone was discussing the aesthetics of the kick in the rear door window line and I did a crap photoshop knock up of it missing! :duh:
  16. If you've used it anyway and you're seeing improvements then why not keep trying... If it's a company car, then who cares anyway, you won't see the bill if it goes wrong - just blame Teso fuel :P
  17. I do remember the EURO V compliance statements, it's just that the website doesn't mention it anywhere now maybe they've had a change of heart :P
  18. I think you're right, it's Euro 4. I'd still check about adding to the fuel though, have you tried the diesel 'super' fuels you can get from BP/Shell yet?
  19. The fifth injector etc issues are really for other problems such as consumption, although general consensus is they drive more responsively afterwards. My car was recovered on Monday with all sorts of engine management lights and failures which could be due to 5th injector failure but until Lexus Cov get off their arse and return one of my calls I won't know what the issue was or when I can expect the car back. I would think you are just getting used to it more, if in doubt take out a car from the dealer to compare.
  20. I think he has proved it enough you doubting Thomas', look; See, they was not as fast as this one!!!
  21. I've always had IS's, did try for an RX the last time mine was in but was told it was already booked
  22. Never heard of this one,. I've had the Key Not Detected /won't unlock stuff but this one is new to me..
  23. Well Lexus assist came and the car wasn't on his diagnostic PC some use they are! The car actually has two faults, one for DSC and one for engine management/throttle control. One possibly a symptom of the other but the car has to be recovered to the dealer for further investigation either way. Looks like the £165 I just spent on roof bars for it to use this weekend may become redundant :o
  24. I wonder how much BA57 ARD would go for
