  1. [im sorry stoffe mate but I never said I was speeding. Unless of course you think 35mph is speeding. Or am I being a bit too quick on the defensive and you are talking about sercombe.] No mate, i wasn't talking about you! The 19 year old guy that started this topic and rolled that brickwall over and then tried to get out of there before the police came. That story just sounded just so stupid to me.
  2. What are you people doing to your cars???? Don't race your lexus on public roads, at least if you don't know how to control them. How fast were you going to roll a complete brickwall down like that????
  3. Hi! How is it working in england with speeding? I mean at what point are you loosing your license, and how much is the speeding tickets? In sweden we have a new updated law due to increasing speeding. at 6 km/h over the limit you will get a 1200 SEK ticket (that would be like £95) and at 12 Km/h over you will get the double and so on. Until 31 km/h over the limit where you loose you license. Then depending on how fast you were going or where you were speeding it's up to a jury to decide for how long you will loose it or if you will ever get it back. If you loose it for more than one year you will have to do the driving test all over from scratch, which is a pretty expensive story. Not to mention the scary part to go by underground where ever you are suppose to go ;) I do not like this system!
  4. The rest of europe could get wood trim as well...... It is confusing how there appear to be so many different permutations, but each country seems to have quite a rigid spec. At first I thought they limit optional extras to keep costs down, but if they're making them all different like this, surely it doesn't make as much of a difference ;) I assume then, that "rest of europe" means not the UK then? It looks in that Pic. And the IS interior would probably not be easy to over kill the wood effect either. Any other pics out of interest? IRISH Executive wood pic So when are you in UK going to switch over to the "right" side of the road? ;) It is so complicated to change gears with your left hand...or you might get use to it, I don't know :D Only tried a Brittish car twice. Hehe...
  5. Could be, but it says "is200" in the link.. I don't know ;)
  6. I found this link/pic on the web.. So strange, what kind of model is this then??? http://lexus.ggl.lu/images/sujet/is200%20300%20intérieur.jpg Metal pedals, but automatic gearbox and a all black steeringwheel. Can't be a sport model if you have automatic, right? :) It seems to me that Lexus has all kinds of diffrences depending on where you bought your car. Have a nice afternoon everybody, me and my (superb) IS200 are going for a ride in the sun in a bit :) See you soon!
  7. Im not sure, you don't happen to have a picture of how that looks, do you?
  8. Good Morning everyone!! I've got to tell you that I tried the LSD yesterday, in a parking garage with blank cement foundation on the pavement. And Yes my friends, it does spin with both wheels What a happy day, you made me quite worried for a while there :) Thanks for your comments all! See you! Christoffer
  9. Hi! Well, it is up on the sidewalk on one side there so it might look a little high on the picture, but its not really. Lower than most other cars (in sweden that is). And what about the the steeringwheel, it sure is in two shades, and the stainless steal insertions on the doorstep (or what that piece of the car is called in english?? :) ). There could be some diffrences between the UK and Swedish models too, i don't know? I have been pushing it quite hard in a few roundabouts with the traction control turned off and it feels like it has a differential slip controller due to the nice powerslides :) But that will be revealed when the snow comes back.. I know i just sold the best winter car ever (Impreza GT) but anyway i think this one will be fun too. Frontwheel drive is not for me even though i learned to left brake with the impreza. Why someone would change the pedals to rubber ones is that if you have snow under your shoes, you might slip on the rubber pedals, but that is just a guess? Either way, i love the car! Nice one to drive! :) :) :)

  11. Sorry to bother you again but is there no possibility to add a picture that are stored locally on your computer? Or do you need to publish it on a webpage first and then just paste the link? Christoffer
  12. Thank you all for the quick replys! Then I guess (hope) im lucky enough to have a sports model, the rear windows are slighly tainted, and the steeringwheel is in two different colours or tones. And it has a six gear, manual gearbox. The only thing it that doesnt fit to your descriptions are the pedals that are made from black rubber. That is why im still a little confused. I will post a picture of it soon, so someone of you could tell me for sure. BR Christoffer PS. I love this car, the best ever!! :)
  13. Hi all! I just bought a 2001 IS200, and got to say that I am more than pleased with the car. The handling is exellent and the intrior is one of the best I've seen. But the question is how you can tell the diffrence between the sport and the SE model? At the doorstep there is stainless steal insertions but the pedals are not. The suspension is harder than in other cars, no doubt about that. And the type of steeringwheel is a sporty one too. It could be that the previous owner, bought these things extra to the se model but im not sure because it feels so sporty driving. I had an 2000 Subaru Impreza GT before this one and got to say that the handling of this car is equally good. So is there a way to tell what model of the IS200 I have? BR Christoffer PS. Is the IS200 possible to chip to get some extra power?
