can confirm that park assist tel was on about is available on all cars with mm and rear view camera(not sure if sensors are needed). tried it today, and when reversing, u just have to select the different option on the bottom right of the screen. this changes the mode.

tango do u know if the suspension is lower on the sport autos?? and if so how much?

mite make sense..lets see what DFP reports back :) dont even know if TEL has the newest dvd..coz im sure u can use voice commands on the move on pre-08 cars too..

is that just on 250 autos? or a hit n miss on any of the IS's?

i just thot the accoding to TEL this new DVD offers nav entry on the move and also this revised park assist that he mentions. The IS hasnt got any self-parking features like the LS, so the only thing that could be is the when on reverse on the screen it displays those green/yellow/red lines to say roughly where the car will end up if the steering wheel is positioned at a certain angle. But then that could be what i have already, (and im presuming your screen also shows you what i've just said?) but i dont think mine has voice guidance for that function...

I am not sure about the serial number or whether it is software or firmware, but what I can definately confirm is that the new disc DOES allow input entry on the move. This was the main reason for me upgrading. I have the MM but no park assist so don't know about the second point. Cheers. wat yr is ur car? and u havent got a rear view camera?

the current disc in my car has p/n 86271-0w060. on http://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/ it says theres a upgrade with p/n pz485-x03eu-08. can anyone confirm this is same as on theirs whcih allows satnav entry on the go and also revised park assist which tells u if ur steering wheel is turned too far etc on parallel parking?

As far as I can tell yes, but as a relative newbie I may have missed some other subtle updates. is that deifnatly the case? Coz i asked the sales guy at lexus birmingham and he said the new dvd doesnt offer that..it doesnt update any firmware or software..or does he not know what hes talking about? what year is your car?

I believe it does...thats how it enables you do use some fucntions while driving now

everything on the centre console is lit and steering wheel on all models. on pre-08 models only the window switches i believe are lit, but on 08-present the wing mirror switches and fuel cap are lit too

why u selling tango? also is VDIM not standard on auto's on pre-facelift? also i thought the autos get ACC n PCS as standard? is that not the case? or is that on auto SE-L not on auto sport? lastly, is the suspension lower on the sport models?

anyone got a pic of a white IS250 with the oem sport wheels?? need to decide to keep my 18" hoshis or stick with the oem sport that will come on the vehicle.. also does the sport mode have a lower riding height than the se/se-l?

ya the sport is ditched in facelift..which is why im going just for a newer year/reg to mine..and having a auto sport instead of manual SE-L as it saves on tax too..and wife likes the cellensia more :) dazz..the white i think its called "artic pearlescent" or something of that sort..

as some of u guys know, I've got a is 250 SE-L manual 56 plate in gold atm as per pic below. I'm thinking of getting a IS250 sport automatic 08 plate..Only problem is i'm undecided on the color..dont know if i'm going to miss my gold :( the only other colors i would get are white or brechin slate (light blue)..which do u guys think..or stick with my gold? went into birmingham dealer other day and saw the is facelift..looks pretty nice. u dont notice much difference from the front and only thing at rear u notice is the light clusters. inside some material looks different like the central airvents-more sturdy. other than that..not much? and u cant get all the toys with cellensia seats on the facelift which is why i decided on a is250 sport..

hmm...would that park assist..is that the rear view camera option or is that when the car parks itself for u?? didnt think IS had that. just looked on lex website and a few??'s. 12v socket in front centre armrest - says not available on the SE-L. y? isnt that like the power connector for ipds etc? Illuminated entry system with LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) - what is that? the lights under the wing mirrors? or the white LEDS inside the car where sunroof goes? and also it says the SE-L comes now with "17" 225/45 R17 (front), 245/45 R17 (rear)". thought with the 2009 spec it came with 17"s?
