Welcome! I think your suspension issue could be the anti roll bar bushes, I had some similar clunks untill I changed mine recently, they are cheap and anly take 30 mins / side to change so well worth changing. Try going over a speed bump slowly, if you get a creak from the front then it's almost guaranteed that the bushes are worn. Headlights are easy to adjust, just pop the bonne and you'll see a hole in the black plastic about12-15mm dia with a posi head /hex head inside, it works a worm/wheel arangement lower down to adjust. If your car is 1992 your key should have the central locking button on the side, do you have more than 1 key? the car comes with 2 button keys and 1 non button key when new. Enjoy the old girl, treat her to regular oil and she'll go on forever!

fantastic motor, short of a 460 there's no better choice! What's the mpg so far? -
Is the book figure at flywheel or at wheels? 209 is 13% down on book figure of 240. is the torque figure low by the same percentage? don't remember what book torque is? Anyone else had theit LS on the rollers, we could predict power loss against mileage if we have a few. still not bad for a car with 113K on the clock. I had my Ka on the rollers and it was at 49hp, book says 59, thats 17% down and it was only 18months old with 20K on the clock. made 102 after I fitted the turbo though :winky:

Was it a time served 'tyre engineer'..... I hate that, I spent over 10 years in college and uni full/part time to become an engineer, not 1/2 hour with some bloke showing you how to use a tyre machine and an air wrench. -
I bought a set of generic ones, they attach with double sided sticky foam. I reckon the land rover ones willl cover the large hole in the LS wing, you may have to cut off the plastic retaining bits though and stick them on like mine. I can send you a length of double sided sticky foam if you need it. :winky:

did you get this sorted? I bought a set of 18's with 235 35 tyres with 45 offset, these has been on a soarer import before and fitt my S1 perfectly without any steering lock rubbing, don't have the suspension lowered though. Official off set is 45, 50 should not have made that much difference. :duh:

Welcome to the LPG crew Alax JB.. :D I too have a single point Italian Injection conversion (installed by the last owner). Given the option i would have installed the Multi-point but it costs almost twice as much.. I would recommend Flash-Lube too it saves the Valve seat's and basically it lubricates the top end of the engine which works with the higher temp which LPG burns at.. Well worth buying off ebay and getting them to install it.. I just been to a local installer to see what it would cost to upgrade the present kit to the Multi-point: £800 inc.. taking into account that the Tank (40Lt) and filler is already installed.. :o :o But he did recommend that it not worth it better off getting a newer car and then getting the full thing done at £1500 from fresh.. I do notice a diff in performance when pulling away at junctions but nothing major, cos it is costing be half the price to get to work and back.. :D Dibslpg. :D It's almost a club within the club! :winky: I think you've got to fall into one of a couple of catagories when buying a V8... 1. Just dont care, waht the bigest thing on the market, have loadsa cash and can aford the petrol. These guys buy Hummers and live in central London. 2. Want a spacious luxury car that's not cheap but afordable and I'm going to live with the fuel bill but have a nagging concern about the Co2 at the back of our minds. This is where a lot of LS owners that use this forum fit (please slate me if you are anoyed by me draging you into this sweeping generalisation) 3. Want the smoothness of a V8 need a spacious car and some comfort and although could live with the fuel bill, want to make it cheaper and have a real concern about the Co2 levels our beloved but hungry motos put out. This is where I am and I suspect many of the other LS/Gs owners with LPG. Now feel free to tell me I'm full of :tsktsk: and tear some strips off...

Hi Manni, Did you fix your vibration then? I just changes the anti roll bar bushes so I had a look at the upper control arms while the wheels and brakes were off, it all looked ok but not sure if there is an easy way of telling if the control arem are worn or not? Same issue with the ball joint too, how do you tell if it's ok or warn enough to cause this issue? It's an ongoing saga for a few folks so anything we can define is good to document. Cheers.

Have to disagree a little here. 1. I'm getting almost the same mpg, just costs 40p/litre not 90p 2. yes there is a loss of power but it's not much and if you want it you can always flick her back over to petrol for a while. 3. ther may be some minor damage from the fact that LPG burns hotter and cleaner, but there's plenty of folks that have done over 100K on gas with cars that had already done 100K, what more can you ask for? there = 30quid back = 14quid there's no fancy maths about it, it costs less! :D

It's an Italian single point install. Talked to them again last night and they said that there is no need for a flash lube kit either but I can ahve on if I want whaen I go back for my 1000 mile check up. As for drivability, it's lost a little power but not much and there's no flat spots or lumpyness ect. Long term I'm told that as the LPG burns hotter and cleaner than petrol the engine can suffer some wear, the answer is to treat her to a tank of petrol every 1000 miles or so just to coke her up a bit :winky: Will take some photo's shortly.

I just converted my Mk1 and it seems fine so far. I have read that you cannot do a lot with the trip MPG meter without a lot of extra jiggery pokery but the actual LPG should work fine.
