  1. Hi All, I'm looking to change my front brake pads. Have always been using the original Lexus parts, but dealer prices are just to high now. Does anyone know who Lexus/ Toyota use to make their pads as other car manufacturers (i.e German ) ones tend to use Textar, ATE, etc Can anyone recommend any decent brake pads? I've seen some Pagid ones at a good price. Mani
  2. Hi All, Can someone recommend a Hunter Wheel Alignment centre in either North West or West London, preferably one they have used and have experience with. Have checked my two nearest ones from alignmycar.co.uk and they are both asking for £125. Another thing i have noticed, being on that site doesnt always mean they know how to use the machines as i spotted some companies which i wouldnt touch with a barge pole due to bad experiences in the past. Thanks, Mani
  3. Hi All, I have a GS300 (mk2) 2002 model, with 14k. In the three years i have had it i kept noticing a tappety noise if i dont drive it for a couple of days on an intial start up. I finally got annoyed with it and reported it to Lexus when it went in for a service. The noise has disappeared but noticed the car is idling at 1400rpm for a lot longer nowadays and that the idling speed has increased from 500 rpm to roughly 750 rpm (needle fluctuates up and down slightly aswell now) and worst of all the petrol consumption has crept up. I have been reading the posts regarding idling speeds havent found out the factory idle rates for : - Drive - Park I thought i would check around and get my facts straight about the idle rate before i book it back in and get them to check it using there diagnostic machine. 4. Hi All, Picked up my brand new GS300 Se + Nav 3 weeks ago. I love it. Washed it today and saw a chunk of the laquer missing on the front wheel (no kerb damage) , the car has only done 300 miles!!! After reading your helpful comments im gonna give Lexus a call tommorow to see what they have to say. Mani
