  1. im putting in an order for some 3m di noc vinyl soon. il be selling it at £60 a metre (1220mm x 1000mm) do a search on ebay. u wont find the size any cheaper!! its so close to carbon its unbelieveable. alot easier than using resins and suchlike. pm me if you want to order some.
  2. as i posted above. yes it will work. just the shaft will be a little longer.
  3. that logo is called the "shocker". ive done the conversion for the brake lights in the fogs. but not the rear light conversion. i might have a little drive down the scrappy and get myself some bulb holders. if there is spare then il pick some up for others. il post here if i get some.
  4. yeah i thought that would be the case with the lightened flywheel. cool. how many miles has your spare flywheel done? what sort of money u wanting for it? i did ask in the garage when i dropped the car off earlier and the guy reckoned you cant have them skimmed. i thought that sounded wierd cos i see a thread where you had posted that u had had urs done. thats why i asked the question. i reckon the guy said that so he didnt have to bother messing about getting it skimmed. cheers neil
  5. Hi people. the lexus is going in to the clutch place tommorow to have the clutch changed. im kind of expecting him to say the flywheel will need replacing as i get judder sometimes when i pull away. the clutch is now slipping, thats why im having it replaced. i understand these flywheels are quite expensive so can my original be skimmed and put back in. whats is the cheapest way to sort the problem out? ive thought about going the lightened flywheel route but where would i get one next day for a decent price?
  6. i take it this is flame polished acrylic with leds? and the badge mounted over the top?
  7. the key cutter wont remove the end. the key will just be longer. i had a shorter oem key but when i had a flip key cut it has the longer shaft. makes no difference to use it!!
  8. dont you guys watch "how clean is your home"? kim and aggie are always talking about it!!! lol
  9. well i left work at 4.30 today. walked in the front door at 8.10. normally takes me 20mins to get to work. gutted. would of been another 2 hours if i had sat in the big long queue of traffic. instead i overtook the whole queue. probably a mile queue. there was only a couple of cars coming the other way. lol. i did feel bad but i wasnt prepared to sit and wait for all these other people mincing about. the transit seems to love the snow!!
  10. well in maidstone theres a bit on the ground from the other day. havent had any for a couple of days tho. my lexus is in my garage at the moment. using my transit van!! that thing goes anywhere. loves the snow!!
  11. no u cant use the bulbs you get with the headlights. i assume they supply the bulbs with the headlights thinking ur buying them for the is300 with the ballasts you already have. but as we are fitting them to the 200 we dont have the factory hids. i bought 2 hid kits when i ordered the headlights and just fitted it all together. think i paid about £40 for each kit. i didnt buy the expensive kit. not worth it imo. one thing i did do was undo the cover on the bottom of the headlight and i put the little ballast for the leds inside the headlight, and i fed the wires thru the headlight. just means you dont have a ballast hanging seperately for the leds.
  12. different bumper on the car now but i dont have a recent pic of the car. but theres the headlights fitted.
  13. the headlights point straight with a kick up on the right hand side. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IS300-99-05-Black-CC...=item1c0bbb81ab these are the headlights i have!! pop a headlight out of ur car. it will be apparent what needs to be cut out. i havent got a picture of the wings. get hold of a dremel or similar with a cutting wheel so u can trim the metal away. file away the sharp edges after and put a bit of paint over it cut edges to protect from them rusting. after messing about u would probably have it done in an hour or so.
  14. my only issue with fitting this flywheel is that, im not looking to keep the car for much longer than a year and dont want to make the car feel awful to drive!! are we talking really noticeable differences?
  15. you dont have to change the shocks.
  16. is300 lights will fit if you cut a piece of metal out from the inner part of the wing. if the lights are for the US market then they will not pass a UK mot. they kick up on the right hand side!! i bought 2 hid kits for each headlights. both sets fitted without modification of the connector plugs!! i have the halo projector US items on my lexus and i have to change it for the mot
  17. my lexus is off the road at the mo due to the clutch being knackered. if the guy tells me i need a new flywheel, would this be a better way to go to order one of those jun flywheels. they seem like a good price compared to any other flywheels. also im a little confused as to what you said about losing revs on hills? it will still pull the same up hills until you have to change down i take it? cheers neil
  18. It's funny u should all be talking about this. I've recently had a sample of some very realistic carbon fibre film. It's from the 3m range and it's from the di-noc series. It's pretty expensive and the minimum order is 12 metres. I've been trying to get a group of people wanting to order this and then Im going put the order in. I need to work out exact prices but who would be intrested having a few panels wrapped? Do a search on eBay and u will see the prices of what they are trying to sell the film for. Im pretty sure il be able to beat there prices. But please keep in mind that the size I can get is 1220mm wide. Not the smallersizes they are offering for expensive prices. I can either supply it on the roll or I can fit it. I've done vehicle wrapping for a few years. And most panels can be easily done. Let me know If u peeps are intrested.
  19. yeah i think they do come with the extra socket. mine did!!
  20. well done guys. i guess you both got lucky. seriously, when i was looking there were none about. you will both be glad you spent the money i can tell you!!
  21. just had a look. they seem quite expensive!! £185 for fibreglass sideskirts!! there £80 odd on ebay.
  22. i had a right job finding one. i searched for probably 6 months. emailed loads of people on ebay that were breaking is's. eventually i got one from america. cost me £100 plus shipping and taxes. what did you end up paying? definitely the thing the is200 needs.. i wouldnt like to drive my lexus without it now!! you might want to use a couple of the leds on the underside of the arm rest to illuminate the pocket underneath the rest. something im going to do when i get the time.
  23. just seen this post about this kit. just wondering why the price isnt being published. surely people need to know the price if they want to purchase a kit? to be honest im contemplating selling my car in the next year for a more powerfull car. if there was an easy bolt on turbo kit id probably spend the money on it and keep my car for a bit longer!! so come on guys. give us an idea of what its going to cost us!!
  24. have any luck with finding covers? i havent looked. if you find a reasonable supplier, post it on here as id be intrested in getting a set. cheers neil
