  1. Hey people. was just wondering if anyone had one kicking about. its the bit with the cigarette lighter socket in it. i only need that part as the cigarette lighter has stopped working and i cant for the life of me get the lighter socket out, so i thought id just replace the panel. cheers guys neil
  2. how small are we talking? cut any size really. text under 5mm in height does get a bit tricky but can be done. try and get me some measuments and il have a go.
  3. me and the girlfriend went last year. was a really good holiday. we stayed in the rehana hotel. food was absolutely crap but a nice hotel. went to cairo and saw the pyramids, but go by plane. its more expensive but you get there quicker. definitely worth the money. we also went in to the desert on quad bikes. was the nuts. snorkelling was excellent. so much to see down there. naarma bay is pretty good. but as people have said. very annoying the people up in your face. if your buying cigarettes then buy from the shops not the street. be very wary as there are alot of chinese import ciggies. and normally when haggling you should aim for a third of what their 1st offer is. anyways. enjoy ur trip im sure ul love it!!
  4. id be intrested. we have a price on these yet?
  5. no i dont have uprated roll bars. the £300 odd price kinda puts me off. lol. probably something il look into in the future. cheers neil
  6. im not 100% but its the only thing i can think of. it probably is the geometry but i was going to try the bushes. i took it to tony but he couldnt help much cos i have the car too low and i dont have the upper camber adjusters i dont think its the suspension as i have coilovers on it. and as for tyres there in pretty good nick.
  7. thats why i want to change just a couple of them. do it in stages so it keeps the costs down.
  8. what bushes would make the bigest difference if i was to replace to make my car feel a bit sharper again? cant help but think the car feels a bit sloppy!!
  9. what sort of size is this garage you are building? i wouldnt say my price is optimistic. its what i paid! i havent totally finished the build. i still need to tile the roof and clad the exterior to bring it up to a finished garage state, but im eventually going to plasterboard and insulate it to finish it like a room in a home. i want it nice to work in. i reckon im probably looking about spending another couple of grand. so if i was you i would allow around £10,000 - £12,000 and thats with getting ur hands dirty!! i have had alot of help from people and i have had to pay them for doing it. ive put alot of effort into this and its not been a build where ive just paid someone to sort it out. ive got my hands dirty every step of the way.
  10. im just waiting for the permission to go thru on mine at the moment. as mole said. get some drawing done and get an application pack from the planning office. in my area it costs £150 to apply for planning permission. if you go on the land registry website then you can download the correct scale blockplan of your property. it costs about £3 i think. thats one drawing you can use. the drawings could probably be done by urself for the plan of the garage. they dont expect people to submit perfect drawings. i done mine myself on the pc, and they were fine with them. i reckon mine has cost me around the 8000k mark. the most was spent on the footings. thats where the most hard work is involved. my garage is about 10m x 5.5metres. its a fair size but id prefer a bit bigger already. lol. you can never have too much space. when u apply for planning permission ul probably get a lot of builders contact you to price for the work. i did when i applied for mine, but mines already built so they were too late. ;) also you could try a workshop website i sometimes go on. www.ukworkshop.co.uk theres alot of information and ideas to be had on there, but it is aimed at woodworking really.
  11. cheers guys. havent had the chance to get on here in a few days. really appreciate the birthday greetings. as a few of you might know the girlfriend was trying to get me an armrest. sadly it was working out too expensive. over £300 with the exchange rate and delivery charge. was a little dissapointed but she ended up getting me a jvc iphone dock. was pretty happy with that. anyways its the big one next year!!! the big 30. lol cheers again guys neil
  12. i havent watched it but im taking it that its the video where they pan down the snake then it goes for the camera? lol i kinda knew it was coming before i watched it but still made me jump.
  13. ive never heard of that before. about the paint lifting. glad i read this. building a garage myself at the mo. been wondering what to put on the floor. http://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/viewtop...sc&start=45 i did consider the carpet. tiles would be lovely but the paint is the cheaper option isnt it? what sort of price difference for your application between the paint and the tiles?
  14. yeah im looking at getting a new door for my garage soon. let us know what one you went for and ur thoughts on it. think im going to go electric with mine.
  15. Ha ha. I said to her after she told me she bid that I personally wouldn't pay more than £100 Yeah she's not a bad sort! Ha ha. She does enjoy coming to meets and stuff like that. She knows how much I like my car
  16. that was my girlfriend that bid it up to £250. she told me after the auction ended that she was going to get it for me as a surprise for my birthday in may. was glad she didnt win it. id of been dissapointed that she would of paid that amount. thought it was really nice of her tho.

  18. i can help if you need a smaller plate made. ;)
  19. no worries. if i had the time to do this id love to!!. damn full time job!! :D
  20. oh right. what i mean is, are you having the car sprayed and the graphics put on seperate or are you having the whole car vinyled (graphics and colour)?
  21. i think maybe ur a bit too far away from me? ive done a bit of it before. do u have the prints or are u looking to have them printed aswell? is the car green already? is it just the prints on the side and bonnet? i could maybe do this but not by next week end.
  22. yeah i bought one of those keys. been using it everyday for a few months now. its holding up well. but dont really rate the quality. if it breaks, it breaks! not really fussed.
