My IS200 2002 boot opens about 1-2 cm when I press a button. I have no spoiler. And it was like that from the beginning when I bought a new car. And I don't think this is a problem. I think it is designed to open like that.

There is no problem using CD-Rs. I have six in my 2002 IS200 stereo with Epson sticker labels. I wrote disks on speed of 40x and 24x. No difference. It's read without any problem. So don't believe in that you have to write on slower speeds. It's true for older CD-RW drives and bad Hi-Fi stereo players. Japanese drives (Sony, Panasonic, Lexus (which are Fujitsu or Pioneer), Mitsubishi) have no problem of reading CD-Rs. While others like Daewoo, stereo in Volvo S40 which I had may not read all the discs even not depending on recording speed. I wrote the units which I tried. Good Luck.

Does anyone knows can the display of original stereo unit from earlier models of IS wirk with last models (year 2002 model 13908, # Toyota: 86120-53150, # Fujitsu Ten: 122000-43300101) of stereo unit? I mean technical characteristics (contacts and others). I'm asking this because I want to change the broken display of my stereo. I have a 2002 IS200. I found an earlier version of stereo at breakers (Toyota number: 86120-53040, # Fujitsu Ten: 122000-1060a101), and I want to buy it and take only the display from there. I know that all stereos during the years of production of IS200 were made by Fujitsu (there are about 6 models). I saw them in catalogue at the Lexus dealers' office. The only problem I have to know for sure if the displays are interchangeable before I buy it.

I hit the display of my Lexus IS200 2002 stereo unit with a water ski when I was breaking during transportation. I visited dealers trying to order the display or facial panel of the stereo unit. But they said that I can only buy a whole stereo unit which costs about 2000 euro. :( Can someone please help me with this and tell me where and how can I get the display or the facial panel with a display of the stereo unit or maybe some broken origianal Lexus IS200 stereo unit with working screen?
