  3. I've always said that too. Dont think my boss would be impressed though. thing is we are like a flock of sheep we all moan about it but don't do anything. same with speed cameras if everryone said k it and refused to pay the system would grind to a halt with the blockades they can arrest people etc.............if everyone just stays off work for a week what can they do. either that or try and use public transport to get to work ...............thats a better ideas particulary in the country........... Bhah Bhah, Bhah You are right mate and where is the momentum which was built up last time and the lobby group who started the last protest, it woul dbe good to get them back on board and especially the media. Remember they scuttled the last protest by saying that people were not allowing Ambulances, emergency services to fill up, untrue since we were allowing all emergency services even the coppers who were trying to arrest us to fill up and cart us off for getting to loud etc.. So lets start the ball rolling and block the forecorts and pumping stations + the Tanker stations.. But not the LPG tankers please Dibslpg

  6. I second that direct action is the only that will make a difference for a short period of time and like last time they will give in for a bout a month and then increase it back to the same, So we have to spread the word and get the British people to stand up to this Motorist taxation culture.. :tsktsk: :tsktsk: I'm off to write my banner and stand infornt off a forecourt and glue myself to the tarmac This think is they are going toincrease the LPG too.

  10. It used has the illumination wire for your deck, from the cars wiring loom it takes a feed and if your deck has a illimination then it connects up. Is will not effect the dash lighst since it has a seprate feed and only switches on when the headlights / dims are on.. not sure if this was needed on my since my does not have a seperate illimination wire and i think i just isolated. sorry i am not able to able any further, hope this helps :) Dibslpg.
  11. Thats a great idea merlin99 :D i would have never have thought of that one.. cause my lights are fogging up too and was trying everyting to get rid off it even puts lots of clear silicone sealant in the top of the lights near the join to provent the rain runining up and under the bonnet.. Will pop into a shoe shoe to nik - borow the small bag of damp absorber gell.. :P Cheers for the suggestion.. Dibslpg
  12. That just cheered my Friday up :D , I pitty the Chav's that are bidding for it :P Taste is not an issue to them..
  13. If you are talking about the hedlight lenses then you won't be able to polish them as they have a thin hardcoat that protects the Polycarb from going straw coloured in the sun, the hardcoat also protects the lenses from chipping. Polish this off and they will yellow within a few short months. If you are talking about the fog lamps and they are glass then no problem, polish away. I have recently discovered that the company I used to work for makes the IS200 headlights for Europe so I am seeing if I can buy direct from the company without using an agent. Failing that I'm going to try and get on site and have a root round there scrap bins ;) Sound's like a plan, post here once you have managed to find some lenses, since a few off us here would like to replace them with nice shinny new ones providing the price is right.. :D Dibslpg
  14. Wated: A single din DVD in-car player Can someone recommed me a website or shop's to buy (but not to keen on fleebay) a cheap single din DVD, mp3 etc… player please I have at present a Kenwood MP4 (yes an MP4) , MP3, CD & VCD (yes a Video CD) player and hooked it up to a 7” motorised Screen (it plays everything except dvd’s - ps I’m selling it too), It works fine with remote. 17. Hi Dan, I have just finished installing the Angel Eyes (or Demon Eyes has it says on the box) and spayed the chrome black since i had them opened up too. They work a treat and must say i have had no probs so far.. I did them myself and yes they can be a pain to do the first time round and a bit daunting too since you have to place them in the oven for about 3 mins or so.. But managed to do it and reseal them using clear silicone sealant (if you can get Gray colour it would be a lot better finish). Hopefully the Demon eyes continue working for a long time . If you need advise just ask mate gladly guide you. Dibslpg
  18. Hi mate i have painted the chrome bits using the same paint has you have said. and these worked fine so far juust do not touch it waite till totally dry. Dibslpg

  21. Hi guys/girls need some support with a ongoing problem which my Lexus IS200 (99) is having: Miss-firing. Sorry but the long story is essential to explain what I have done so far. Engine light comes on intermittently, So Plugged it up to a mates Laptop and the diagnostics software found the fault code which translates to Cylinder’s 1 & 6 misfiring (few weeks back). I had replaced the Spark Pugs (thanks for the link to the USA supplier) Bought Two Coil packs (ouch £100 each from stealers) and replaced number 1 & 6, It drove a bit better for a short period of time. Engine light came on again so hooked it up again to laptop. This time it said only Cylinder 6 Miss-fire. So we ran Basic Test last night: Swapped the Spark Plug & Coil Pack with No. 5 cylinder then connected to the Lap top – It still said cylinder SIX – Swapped the Plug with my older ones (only done 10k before I replaced them) plus tested it on the engine block to see the spark. And still no joy. So Coil is fine the plugs are fine.. Noticed that the wiring plug for the Coil pack has been repaired some time in the past and it had exposed wire showing too. So taped it up and reconnected. It ran a lot smoother and after about 15mins driving the engine light came on again…. Since we had the laptop plugged up it flagged up CYLINDER SIX MISS-FIRE again :tsktsk: :tsktsk: I think it must be the wiring block that is connected to the coil pack which might be at fault with a frazzed wire or lose connection some were along it / So to ask the question where can I buy one wiring block on its own not the full set for all six cylinders and any idea how much please/ Or is it some thing else that could be causing the problem which I have missed :shutit: Your help and guidance is has always respected. :D Dibslpg
  22. Just did the same thing that you are planning to do and heres the link: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ove+head+lights hope it helps, The only thing to note is that the Two 10mm bolts in the fenders are tricky to get too and you would need a extension socket for the pass-side couse of the water bottle. Also once removed the bolts (only 3 per light) you would have to try to place a flat screwdriver under one side of the light and priece it forward to release the clip holding it underneath (some force required to pull it off the clip too). have fun :duh: Time wise once i worked on the first one (about 45mins the second once about 5mins to remove :winky: Dibslpg
