  1. Thanks a Lot mate, :D Printed it out and ready to give it a go. I and still nervus to pop it in the oven but if the heat gun trick does not work then i shall try the oven.. What is that in Gas Mark please since mine has no temp setting on the old log burner.. Cheers Dibslpg
  2. Decided to take the plunge and darken the Headlights (thanks to the tips and guides on here) but fallen over the first step-removing the thing? Trying to find the location of the remaining 2 x 10mm Bolts on the headlight please? Located the one on the top (obviously) but not sure where the other two are located please and how to gain access. Tried to search here but not had much luck on how to remove the lights yet. (Any Photos would be helpful). I do not fancy removing the whole bumper or wing… Has anyone done removed the Glass using a Heat Gun (softening the glue seal)? What should I look-out for or avoid please? Do not fancy putting it in the oven (it scares me- based on my cooking skills – I will end up melting the thing and serving it up to the dog like my past exploits) Over this long weekend and hopefully install the Halo Angel eyes (yes I now it is BMWish) but I like the look + Eyebrows since I have them opened up, Yes a big bank holiday mod is about to start. so will post picks once done or the pics of the mess that might be made. ] Your help / Guidance will be greatly appreciated. :D Cheers
  3. Cheers chaps will try to sort out the Balanacing issue this weekend and post back. I'm hopeing it's only a matter of popping on some weights to balance them out not not a worped wheel .. I will ask them to do all four just incase. and if that does not sort it out i might make a trip to see the Dr. Cheers for the tips.. Dibslpg
  4. Congrats and welcome to the Lexus LPG team. That was a bargin price on the fit at £895 even if it was a single point. Which i too have installed on my Lesus is200 and I would recommend the Flash Lube kit. It acts like a lubricant to the top end of the engine and keeps the valves lubricated and cooler. Well worth the price for the kit and you can buy it off ebay (search it under Flash Lube) for around £50.00 your engine management light come on from time to time but i think it fine (common problem with LPG cars)its usually telling you that the Fuel system if confussed (or that's what it tells me on mine). Happy motoring and saving the environemnt: :winky: Dibslpg
  5. Yeah I couldn't find any cans etc in Halfords or whatever to do it myself to left them to a local bodyshop :) @ Lee, Done with Halfords cans, Grey Primer, then tried Rover Charcoal and then a little laquer. The rover colour came out a lot darker than id expected but I quite like it though :) I most admit that makes a big difference on the front. Like it lot and been thinking about doing the dark lights for a while but was not sure if is would look good on Plat-Ice car (same colour has mine). So guess what my mod's mod is going to be.. It makes the car look mor aggressive with them eye lids.. Just handed mine in for the front end spay up and eye lids fitting. So can i take the headlights apart with the eye lids still on? And how easy is it take the lights off? I need to find a step by step guide to do this headlight tints please? Cheers Dibslpg
  6. Go withyour feeling "luke" - use the force :winky: it is most liky a scam read a few and came across one my self when selling brothers Merc.. trying to pay me in smogled Diamonds from somewhere in africa.. the thing was they were here and meet me alwas in a public place (great) on two occations. said they want to buy it for there dad in Nigera and he is sending them the Diamond over in a day or two.. and they wanted to export the car.. i said Cash upfront and take the keys, they started to umm and Arr. .smelled a rat and walked away. Go with Gut feelings no matter how good the deal sounds... You might turn up to collect and they could be waiting with a few guys and guns and clean you out :tsktsk: :tsktsk: heard this been done in Liverpool to someone locally here by some Gypo's (not all are the same mind you). he was leaft high and dry and 10k down + the car he when down in and all c/cards etc... :duh: Not scaring you but be carefull.. dibslpg
  7. Yes they are the same size either side.. She never goes above 50mph since she is driving local only, hence never noticed it till i drove it to work. Will hand it in for wheel balancing then test again.
  8. Car shaking at 80+ mph sorry not a Lexus Q, but mine is in for a service hence driving hers (Honda ) and noticed that is is shaking at about 80+ mph :shutit: , It is not pulling to one side so not tracking issue’s but might be wheel balancing perhaps? Just noticed that the Back tyre’s are 205/45/R17’s and the Front’s are 215/45/R17’s, could this cause it perhaps and is so why? The car is lowered ot sure by how much. The front tyres are new so what she must have done is put the original front ones (205/45R17’s) to the back and replaced them with the 215/45/R17’s at the front instead… Any suggestions please how to fix the problem with having to through the new tyres away? As usual your help / guidance is appreciated. :winky: Dibslpg
  9. No problem i used to own a ecu re-mapped audi S3 1 . Re-mapping changes the program on your cars ecu (computer) basically changing how much fuel, air and the timing. Done on naturally aspirated cars. I.E cars with no turbocharger has little effect. Where as cars with turbo chargers whether they be diesel or petrol re-mapping can have HUGE benefits. Basically the manufacturers in your friends case audi will set the car so the turbo is running low boost so the car will have better fuel economy using less fuel and not overwork the engine. Re-mapping will run higher boost through the turbo and more fuel to compensate therefore greatly increasing the cars BHP and torque figures. 2. Re-mapping is just changing your e.c.u's settings. I had my Audi S3 done by REVO these are very well respected for audi re-mapping. 3. Unfortunately re-mapping will use more fuel. Being a turbo though if you keep off the boost it will be bearable. 4. Seems V.Expensive. I had mine done by big boys toys in essex. They are REVO dealers and i think i paid about £400 + VAT 5. REVO REVO REVO they done mine and it was ACE :D 6. Being re-mapped, there is no evidence of this. All they do is plug your ECU into a laptop wait 5 mins and away you go. I highly reccomend this but go to www.revo.co.uk they do the most renouned and reliable re-map on the market. The guys at Big Boys Toys if your near are ace. They took my car for a spin with the laptop connected to make sure all was o.k. They will change settings for you at a different date too. I went back they turned my boost up for free. Hope this is of help ???? Thanks a lot lexuslee, great advise and appriciated too. Will pass on the info and checking out the Revo site soon. So best bet is go for it and not to warry aout the fuel since the smile on your face will be enough to forget about the diesel been drained.. Cheers.. Dibslpg
  10. Hi peeps, just a quick query please from a friend of mine? :shutit: A friend of mine (honest ) is about to buy a Audi A4 TDI (2005) 130 bhp diesel with GmBH bodykit and all the bells and whistles.. (tried to tell him go for a Lexus is300 – but he was after a Diesel ) The sales man stated that they offer an ECU Re-Map service for additional £600 :tsktsk: , which will boost BHP to 170 and increase the Torque.. Sound great: coming from the sales man but need some real advice, so since you guys are the best source of information I said I will ask for him. His Q’s: 1. Re-Mapping what doe sit mean please? 2. What types of Re-mapping is available if any? 3. Re-mapping it, what effect with is have on MPG? 4. is £600 to expensive? 5. Anybody else who can re-map the car? 6. Insurance issues? Has usual you help in greatly appreciated? :D Dibslpg

  13. Any Cheap London B&B's or Hotels Please? It’s been over ten years since I visited the Capital (not much off a fan) so its time to take the Kids to see the sites and meet the Queen for a Cuppa if she is in that is. Yes I know it hard to locate a Cheap B&B's or Hotels in London but can any one help out please? Any website links or experiences? Planning to take a trip down for a day or two for a bit of Site seeing tour with the Kids, Ideally near a Tube station. Total travelling are 5 inc. Kids can we get one room to sleep in perhaps? Was told to look for one out side the Congestion zone (since they are cheaper) and drive to a local station and park-up for the day and surf the tubes all day with a day pass – easy way to see the sites. Any tips, guides are appreciated. :D Dibslpg

Which ones please About to get the Front End modified (bonnet, wings, Corner Spats, sports grill and eye brows etc..) subtle changes, so All I am after is some bulbs (Main, beam and Side lights) which will give the front a fresh look at night, (also thinking about Angle eyes kit has discussed on here also from feebay :winky: ) nothing blue or purple (coppers are very fussy round these parts :tsktsk: ).. 18. Worth ringing around your local Breaker Yards, they are bound to have one and most likly it will be half the price + if you are lucky it might be the same colour Worth asking.. If not go to the find a part websit and post a request. good luck, Dibslpg
  19. Might be worth re-setting the battery and hopefully it sill re-set the Alarm. Worth a chance If not then it's an electrical bug and get an Auto-Eletric on the case.. Dibslpg
  20. Your system is the same has mine then (Emmagas ) and has it happens mine was installed in 2001 too. :winky: Your Technical guy sounds like he is talking sence but i will pose the same Question to another one that i go to (LPG specialist) based here in Leeds, see what he comes up with and i will mention the Vapouriser thingy.. on Firday, will post back the response. Hopefully we can get the same bug fixed. Please note that if your GS has Coilpacks instead of leads then you are stuffed..The ones for the IS200 are £98 + vat from stealers each. Best to replace the Plugs and clean the leads (WD40) and see what happens.. is what i am going to do. :winky: Dibsplg
  21. Sorry mate it doesnt do that - it is a standard non rechargeable battery and would have to have a +ve line built into the key or an induction coil combined with a rechageable battery. But for info in 6 years i have had to change the battery once - if the batteries are only lasting about 5 months either its a cheapo battery or you are locking/unlocking the car a lot. If the key remote operation is not working properly try standing about 1M away from the drivers door - then you are in the optimal area for the lock/unlock sensor You might be right on the cheapo battery bit Fluff3467 So which is the best type of Battery and where can i get one please? save me hassle posting the same question in about 5 months time :winky: Dibslpg
  22. Usuf_X, I have the same problem on my IS200 only tends to do it after a long trip never local or on petrol. Has far has spark plug they are the same has your standard one, nothing diff. I bought mine from ebay thanks to LOC for the links (imported from USA - creative performance IK20 i think) but not sure about the GS version. Once i replaced the plug it seemed a lot better and ran smoother, serviced the LPG system etc.. but after several thousand miles it has started to do the same pressure drop/surge has before. :tsktsk: Just a bug i guess i will have to live with it and accept it since it causes no probs. Just think of the fuel saving: winky: Dibslpg
  23. Hi Marcrs200, Do you have a Diagram indicationg which Cylinder is Which please? Need to find Cylinder 6 which has a missfire on it and thus clean the plug (only replaced less than 2k) and if poss replace the coil pack. Cheers Dibslpg
