  1. It may well be a sticking caliper. I would also at the same time you have the jack out etc you also check the wheel nuts for tightness as a friend of mine had a similar wobble at a certain speed, which turned out to be loose wheel nuts.
  2. I believe all the IS200/IS300 ones were made by Fujitsu Ten, I heard the GS300 were Pioneer in the MK1 &/or MK2.
  3. Most companies I found giving top handsets were on an 18 month or 24 month contract. BTW I'm loving the HTC Touch HD :)
  4. I'd say go with the IS250 (get a fully loaded one) as the prices are fairly depressed at the moment, and you will get a lot of car for the money. The IS300 is only really an option if you are gonna keep it for several years IMO and run it 'til it drops.
  5. I have pre-ordered mine as it doesn't come out until the 18-5-2009 according to HMV :o :o :o I'm not a big fan but for £8.99 there is bound to be at least 3 singles released from it so worth getting, plus of course I put the receipt thro my books :winky:
  6. Happy Birthday mate :) I hope it is a very memorable day !!
  7. whatever solution you find, I hope you manage to keep the Lexus matey :)
  8. You could try it mate, it won't do any harm, I have 2 layers of Dynamat (it may be 3 but I can't remember) on my bootlid, plus another on the back of the number plate to help stop rattles. I'd suggest get your system in, with Dynamat on the front doors, and then see what problem you have with the boot :) As for the subwoofer box, is it ported or sealed ? It is always best to follow the manufacturers recommendations. You mention the box is 1.25cu.ft, have you measured inside the box to confirm this is accurate ? Have you also taken the displacement of the subwoofer when fitted into the equation ? By that I mean the area inside the box that will be taken up by the subwoofer magnet/chassis/cone etc when the subwoofer is fitted. You might be closer to the ideal volume when this is taken into account :)
  9. Great news mate :) BTW you will be too busy driving the car next week to be worried about getting the door cards off !!!
  10. You are better off asking Yaumeister or Waynejordan02 when they are about, but they seemed quite happy with their speaker upgrade. You will get a better sound with Dynamat too, but obviously you are limited then by the quality of the OE system output. I think you will hear cost effective improvements if you keep your budget for the speakers between £80-£120. Any more would really be a waste mate, in fact £120 may well be a bit OTT too. I do now have a jigsaw, so can give you a hand if you need it, It is a fairly simple upgrade tho :) The Dynamat can be tricky, but get hold of a small foam wallpaper seam roller as I found that helped.
  11. Just got a blinding deal with Orange on an HTC Touch HD :D (Solo 45 price plan direct with Orange) I have been with T-Mobile for 10 years, but they couldn't match what Orange offered me on a business contract, (2000 any network anytime mins/200 free texts plus unlimited free UK landline calls) plus I got the phone I really wanted so am a very happy bunny. Also as a business customer they are giving me free broadband too Normally within my last month of contract I call t-mobile up and tell them I am leaving and they bend over backwards to give me what I want, but they couldn't do it this time as they have the G1 instead of what phone I was after, they did get close with the airtime deal, but with Orange I get free insurance (saving me £7.99/month) and with the free broadband offer (currently paying £19.99/month) I am nearly £28/month better off. Yaaaay :D :D :D
  12. Big Bang and some Big Bills :o Sorry to hear this Ken, hope you guys are back racing soon :)
  13. Glad to have helped Keith, sounds like you got a bargain, mucho respect to Bilsy for writing the original thread & pics etc. I just wouldn't be without mine now, though I had the kit in a box for ages before I finally fitted it.
  14. As Redz says above, bigger/better battery, big 3, 0 gauge should do the trick, oh and probably a shedload of Dynamat I have a box suitable that used to run my 12W7 going dead cheap if you haven't got one already. I just need the space.
  15. One of my favourite comedy actors, he also starred in a film with Dan Ackroyd & Gene Hackman called Loose Cannons. Very very funny if you get a chance to see it. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
  16. there is such a thing as Karma after all, so what goes around, comes around :)
  17. Totally agree Mat, Chavski can't even buy history. I was cracking up in the car when the goal went in :)
  18. I like the one on the Merc bottom left but not the one on the IS200
  19. Glad this is very nearly there Stav, I haven't had time yet but will read the entire thread tomorrow. Really pleased for you mate :D
  20. Indeed it is. Good luck with it Steve :D
  21. I have staggered 18" rims from the IS250 Sport on my IS200 Tyre size (front) 225/40R18 + (rear) 255/40R18 Front: 18" x 8" 45mm offset , Rear: 18" x 8.5" 50mm offset PCD 114.3mm Just remember the front rim should be no wider than 8" with the correct offset and you should be fine :)
